NFriday
Hi- I went to New Orleans to visit one of my sisters for Christmas. I had a good time, but I flew down on the 23rd, and my plane was an hour late taking off at Midway in Chicago, and then they had bad weather in New Orleans. The pilot announced that we were going to be arriving in New Orleans shortly, and then we kept flying and flying. They finally announced that there was bad weather in New Orleans, and they had circled the airport for 15 minutes trying to land, and they were now giving up, and they were flying to Houston while they decided what they were going to do. We sat at Houston for close to an hour, and then they refueled the airplane in case they had to circle the New Orleans airport a few more times, and took off for New Orleans. My sister had doubts that they would be able to land in New Orleans, but after probably circling the airport at least 10 times, they were able to land. My sister was at the airport for four hours waiting for me, and had to pay $14 to park there. We stopped at Winn Dixie on our way home, and walked into the store 6 minutes before they were supposed to close. Coming back I only got delayed for 30 minutes. Thanks, Nancy
