This is the third time in 2 days that I was doing a survey for OO that was to take 10-14 minutes for .50 and they were 30minutes that is so wrong and I want the 50 cents so I continue because I am half way through it but I'm not liking it one bit------------Just Ranting

I run into that with other survey sites. It makes me mad because you've already invested too much time into the survey, so I feel like I have no choice but to finish it up. I think we can all relate....... unfortunately.

Yeah, OO can be bad at times. Like the 5 points for 1 minute ones they are always displaying. Put that in the wrap up.

To be fair, I have actually gotten 5 points for 1 minute at least a couple times. I agree sometimes it's a bug and they actually take 10-15 minutes, but I have legitimately seen 1 minute surveys a couple times, too. Those are awesome. :D

I think they and all other survey sites do this on purpose. About a month ago I got angry because they invite said $.38 for 10 minutes, I said what the hell and decided to do it. The next page came up and it was one of those university surveys that give you a lot of info and how long it will take, what it;s about, who's conducting it and contact info. It said the survey would take 40 minutes. I always copy these pages in case I have comments I want to say to these people. Anyway, I exited the survey and emailed the university about it. In their last email reply they stated that they told the survey panel how much time the survey would take and that the survey panels set their own amount to pay the members. They said they understand my not wanting to take a 40 minute survey for $.38  and that they would talk to the survey panel about it.

What I am seeing here, though not unique to OO (they are far from being the worst), is what I came here to write about. Lately I have been getting a lot of survey offers which are just plain false in terms of what they say time to complete will be. I always LOOK at the clock on my computer, as it is easy to just imagine this, but no, surveys that say 15 minutes often take 30-40, etc. Also, on a couple of sites, they keep making you qualify over and over and over again, so you have invested 15 minutes before you even get to the survey which finally accepts you. I have ceased to participate with some companies, and it looks like there are a couple more I am going to drop. I don't mind this sub minimum wage bit since I can do these from home, but lately I think I have been averaging about $1.00 per hour, and THAT is not going to cut it. Going to start keeping a log of time vs. rewards, but when you factor in all the non qualifying ones, and the worst-you spend 20 minutes actually in the survey, THEN it disqualifies you, I seriously think I am not much above $1.00 per hour lately.
