There are hundreds if not thousands of market research companies who conduct in person taste tests, focus groups, interviews, etc.
Here are a few companies who conduct this sort of in-person (offline) consumer research.
If you are aware of any other such companies, please post!

I understand these are all either American or Canadian based? Does anyone know of any UK based research in person companies? I have never heard of any.

whilst looking for another site to sign up with, I came across another taste testing panel called J Reckner Association...they can be found here -

and it appears they do national and local taste tests in Wisconsin, just to mention one place...there are others, but I am not sure where...the site tells you more.
Pity I live in the UK really, it sounds like fun.

| in UK you can get involved with the Food Diary run by TNS (or what is now Mysurvey) and this is sent out about 4 times a year, with £15 Capital Bonds vouchers for each - it is fairly lengthy and you basically have to write down everything you and your family eat for 2 weeks. They also run a Cosmetics Diary where you have to put down what toiletries you use for 2 weeks, you and your family. After you have done 4 diaries for them in a year they send you a bonus payment fo £15 more capital bonds making a total of £75 per year |
