I wonder if its anything to do with the exchange rate? Our payments are still at £4 here in the UK, and we havent had any notification of changes...hope it isnt a sign of the times, its a great little earner....I still get about two invitations a month!

I got a survey from them recently, asking what alternatives I would like the most besides the $5 compensation I receive per survey now. They offered to switch me then & there to the $3 per survey plus sweepstakes entry, and I declined. So AFAIK I am still going to receive $5 but for how long I don't know.
I think it would be pretty crappy to reduce the payment that longstanding survey takers receive from them. I would lose a lot of respect for them in general if/when this happens. They are probably continually making MORE money from companies, yet are trying to give us less?! |

$3 would be about 1.5 pounds at current rates.
So even at $5, we US members are getting screwed since they are paying the UK members the equivalent of $8 *sigh*
I should be British! |

| i was sent a survey asking if i still wanted to stay at the 5 dollar rate or go to the 3 dollar and drawing entry. if i picked to stay at the five dollar rate i would not get as much surveys or they may not have room when they finally switch all members to the 3 dollar and sweeps entry. so pretty much i was forced to take the 3 dollar and sweeps entry. i am not very happy about it, but seems to me most survey companies are getting more from us than we get from them. |

I got the same email yesterday, and they definitely give the impression that you may not be able to continue as a panelist if you choose to stay with the $5.
I think this is lousy - and I emailed them telling them as much. I highly doubt they are getting less money from the companies that hire them, yet they are going to pay the people who make their company possible less. I told them how I had always thought they were the best survey company but that I was rethinking that view. I also mentioned that I think people are not going to be putting nearly as much effort into the quality of their survey answers considering they are reducing the payments.
This is a crappy thing to do IMO. |

Got a reply from Pinecone, and boy is it lame.
"Dear Panelist,
Thank you for your comments. Your opinions are important to us. I will
forward them to the appropriate person.
Thanks,
Karen Scott"
I wrote back asking her to have that person address my concerns since she didn't. Grrrr! |
