PostPosted: Sat Feb 23, 2008 2:55 pm    Post subject: SurveySpot Wanting To View Clipboard?

I have been a member of SurveySpot for about 5 years. I was getting multiple invites via email on a daily basis and/or could log in to their site and take surveys that way as well.

I haven't gotten a survey from them via email in about 3 weeks. I also noticed upon logging in to their site I can no longer take a survey that way either...there isn't an available option for that for me now.

I remembered I had emailed them in January asking them why on taking some surveys they were wanting to view my clipboard after each question I answered(a windows prompt asking me whether I would allow this or not-I always chose "disallow"). In that email I mentioned that this had not been the first time I had asked that particular question and had not gotten a response.

So now, all of a sudden I am no longer receiving surveys. I'm hoping it is because I am just not fitting any particular profiles and not that I have been written off and can no longer participate because I've made them mad. I emailed them today just to tell them that I miss taking their surveys and I hope to have an opportunity in the near future to take surveys for them.

Has anyone else had a prompt to allow SurveySpot to view your clipboard? Why would they want to view one's clipboard anyway? I've always thought that was a way of allowing someone to hack your computer or obtain personal info on one.

And has anyone else suddenly stopped getting invites from them?

Survey Spot suddenly stopped sending me surveys about 2 months ago. I e-mailed them twice asking about it and they replied after the second e-mail to click on the take a survey link which I don't get either so I e-mailed back so far no reply. I don't recall them ever asking to view my clipboard.

Yes surveytaker, I have also gotten that prompt several times and I disallow it as well. It is tedious to say the least for every question! Not to mention an invasion of privacy if not worse.

I'm surprised you haven't heard back from them. I had to contact them a couple of times before and did get replied to.

I think you have handled this well; they at the very least owe you an explanation.

I just now was at another message board and read a post where a lady has expereinced the same exact thing!! The only difference was she complained about some tokens, I don't recall tokens so I don't know but she hasn't received any surveys via invite NOR can she go to the site and take a survey! She hasn't done a survey with them since Feb.

I just emailed them again today but have yet to get a reply.

What did they do? Cut out everyone who questioned their M.O? Rolling Eyes And the thing is I have nothing on my clipboard and when I cashed out $14 I had on my account in February, they sent it to me right away!

I'm beginning-no, rephrase that-I'm wondering what gives.

Well, at least you know it's not just you - I felt *slightly* better knowing that others had problems with Lightspeed. I wish I knew what to tell you, I can imagine how frustrating this is.

Please let us know if/when you hear back from them.

Yeah, I do feel somewhat better knowing it isn't just me.

I can't shake the feeling that some panelist rep gave me the hatchet job Laughing I guess my syrupy emails aren't doing much to butter their biscuits Laughing

I'll keep you guys informed.

Momof4, SurveySpot asking you to read emails is news to me! I have never known them to pay someone to read emails. Are you sure you have the right company? Confused

Most members can log into their account and click on "Take A Survey." I, for some reason, cannot Crying or Very sad

I'm sorry, I got SurveySpot mixed up with InboxDollars. I have been seeing so many here lately it's hard to keep them straight. Embarassed

Is SurveySpot still asking for the clipboard? I've never seen this before.

I hope they aren't doing something bad because I've made more from that company than any other - even PineCone.

They suck. I'm almost positive I got deleted because of my inquisition on them wanting to view my clipboard.

But what does one do? They don't answer emails and Survey Police will not help me so screw it. I had to rejoin. Same info but different email address. I get tons of paid surveys now. Go figure Rolling Eyes
