  1. It's not taboo in my book. Their routers or whatever should catch that I've done the survey on another site. A few months ago, my husband and I actually got the same product test (thru different sites). I was surprised at that because I thought maybe they would throw out duplicate addresses but they didn't. It was a very generic product, nothing that really called for a female vs male opinion.

  2. The topic says it all. Unless you spend all day in bed, is it possible to go through a day without seeing a Geico ad and that freaking lizard? I mean come on, they are on the net, on the radio, on TV, in magazines, on billboards, mall kiosks, posters. Maybe if Geico took all that cash and gave it to drivers for being safe, we wouldn't need auto insurance.

  3. Have been more often lately getting surveys where as soon as you answer a question (or questions), the survey automatically advances to the next page without having to click on the "Next" or arrow or whatever. Makes me nuts because I usually double check my answers for errors before going on to the next page. Makes me paranoid that maybe I've clicked a wrong box accidentally and that I'll never know! That is all.

  4. Hi everyone. I was on here several years ago, was signed up with all kinds of survey sites, maybe 10-15 sites. Then life happened, and I just stopped doing any surveys for years. I recently retired, and now I have free time to get back into my crazy hobby. At this point, I'm starting slowly, only registered with two sites - Forthright and Paid Viewpoint. Both sites are pretty good. For Forthright, they have their own surveys in which you can get $2-$3 for a survey, even if you don't qualify, once you either complete or DQ from three of their surveys, you get a $2.00 bonus. They have partner surveys also. You can earn up to $10.00 a day. The most I ever got in a day was between $7-$8, but it was about a 6 1/2 hour slog to get that. Typically, I go 3-4 hours and set a goal to make at least $3-$4. For Paid Viewpoint, it took a long time, but my trait score has gotten better, and I took a couple of surveys from them today where I made about $2.00 for 15 minutes of surveys. Not too shabby. I'll check the forums to see what's up with everyone. I use the money I make for the surveys for fun.

  5. Haha, I'm not going to argue with that logic. And that doesn't even include all the Geico ads that don't feature the gekko.

  6. Let's face it, 'Talk Like a Pirate Day' has kind of become old and tired. So might I suggest something my friends and I came up with while working at Barnes & Noble, 'Talk Like an English Waif Day'. Yes, this was heavily inspired by film versions of the works of Charles Dickens and Victor Hugo. So let's try it out. "Plez suh, 'ere's a chile wot ain't eaten tahday. Spare ah penny suh? Spare ah soo? Ah, thankyee, suh, Gawd sees awl the good ye do! Gawd bless us everyone!" (Yeah, I've had a few beers and way too much time on my hands).

  7. Yeah, I've been noticing those too, though typically it's during the start of the survey where they are asking the basic age, zip code, state sort of questions. Kind of freaky though after having been 'trained' to click the next button to advance the page.

  9. I've never had a problem with this, and assume it was just another variation on the 'Captcha' thing to prove you aren't a computer program. Now granted, I may not qualify for the survey, but it's never kicked me out for the test questions.

  10. I feel your pain, but have gotten over it. I can't say I've had issues with Ipsos, but used to rant and rave with Opinion Outpost over this. Sometimes they'd give me a few extra points, but after a while it just wasn't worth it. I'm not going to pretend I understand how the heck survey sites operate, or allow myself to get pissed off by them anymore, it's not worth the stress and headache, and I honestly wonder at times if they 'target' people for complaining. So I just chill, have a beer and carry on.
