  1. Someone on /r/beermoney recommended this app to me a few months back, called Hatch - it's actually by C-Space, who are also responsible for the best-paying, awesomest private survey community of the handful I'm a part of, so it's not too surprising that this app also pays well for your time. It is surprising that it's so completely flown under the radar, so I was wondering if anyone else here uses it, and to people who don't, to recommend it. You don't get surveys from it very often, and it never proactively informs you of them, you have to check it periodically - but when you do snag one, it's super worth it. Like Pinecone, they periodically invite you to complete short (couple minute) surveys for no pay, but then use your responses, if you qualify for what they're looking for, to invite you to surveys that are still pretty short, often interesting, and pay pretty nicely - the least I've gotten is $3, the most I've gotten is $10, and their surveys aren't that long (though, oddly, for an app-only site, they do often include some writing - I don't mind as much, because I completely refuse to give up my Photon Q, the last-ever Android phone with a proper keyboard - otherwise I'd probably be more irritated. But I'd be irritated all over the place, which is why I refuse to give it up. :p) The really nice thing about it, too, is they clearly read all our responses, and if they like your response, I learned, they will pay extra - I've gotten $5 bonuses on top of the $5 original pay, twice now, in the few months since I started using it. They only pay in Amazon, and it takes a few weeks to get paid, because they process everything manually (though according to the site, they're working on getting payment more automated, but who knows when that's going to happen, if ever). Still, I'd highly recommend it, so I figure I would... actually highly recommend it.

  2. I can't think of anyone I dislike enough to refer them to survey companies.

  3. I recently dumped One Opinion, I received at least 3 survey invites per day, but rarely if ever qualified for them. I was stuck at 21 points forever, so I just went into the site and unsubscribed. I enjoy not seeing their name every time I open my email.

  4. Dang! Care to share where you find surveys that pay $15/hour? Thanks!

  5. I guess you could say that I do the surveys out of boredom because I refuse to participate in certain kinds of surveys. For example, the second they start asking me about investable assets I will close out the survey. If the survey sites persists in sending it back to me again, I will simply lie in order to disqualify. I will not answer tedious and intrusive questions. I sit on the porch or by the pool and pump out a few surveys sometimes because I am retired, but I am not going to give in to the demands of scammers who want to know what my assets are which do not include real estate, employer-sponsored pension funds etc. In other words, they want to know how much cash you have or liquid assets you have that they could separate you from without having to wait for escrow or anything else which could give their mark too much opportunity to think over what they are agreeing to hand over. I am sure that my age gets me screened out a lot of the time anyway because old people and young broke college students are certain to be overrepresented on survey sites, but sometimes I have bought things as a result of doing surveys because the surveys were about things of interest and about which I did not know before. I don't jump on all the newest techie stuff so I am not game for the surveys looking for gamers so I soon lost interest in a survey site which seemed to aim largely at those who wanted to spend their "rewards" on video game projects and accessories. I do the surveys related to travel now that my wife gave up her business and retired with me. She is in poor health and could pre-decease me in spite of being ten years younger so if we are going to see the world after all of these years of hard work, we need to get on with it.
