  1. I have never seen anything like this before. Nope, I wouldn't cooperate. Hope you don't have too much invested in them.

  2. GammiWoo, I’m so sorry to hear of your experience through One Opinion. I agree that they totally screwed you over. Why would they even say you rushed through a 2 minute survey in 3 minutes? Such crap. It seems you can be armed with all the proof, all the screenshots in the world, but these survey companies have absolutely no scruples and will not hesitate to screw people over left and right. It’s too bad there is really no recourse. I sympathize with you. At least you got the remaining balance of your account. Some survey companies wouldn’t even give you that I think. It’s too bad one cannot take these companies to small claims court. I know, wouldn’t be worth it for what you would have to pay and the time involved. But it’s a thought. Hang in there. This time of the year seems really bad with very few viable surveys out there. I’ve really struggled qualify, and have spent more time trying to get the same amount of money, like 2-3 extra hours a day. I’m going to get more involved with mystery shopping, and maybe try Instacart too. I’m growing quite tired of the shenanigans these survey companies pull on their survey takers. I find it absolutely appalling and disgusting.

  3. You ever get on here and the only thing to do is post a single word reply in the 'add on a word' game? I assume this area was meant to be a chill, have a few beers and BS about anything area...so what's on people's minds beyond surveys?

  4. Hi everyone. I wasn't sure where to put this thread, as it isn't technically about any survey site. I'm simply curious (okay nosy) about what you all do while taking surveys. For example, do you listen to music, watch TV, exercise, that kind of thing. Sometimes I do all three at once, LOL! Today, we have EAA going on in Oshkosh Wisconsin, about 10 minutes from where I live. So every day this week, I've been listening to the EAA frequencies on an app called Live ATC. Some very interesting stuff. Sometimes I stream radio stations, listen to the cops on a scanning app I have (I have about half a dozen scanning apps), or my ITunes playlist. Sometimes I'll have a baseball or football game on in the background, and sometimes I'll do leg lifts or the like while doing surveys. I have a difficult time sitting still for too long. Sometimes I'll grab a beer or have a glass of wine while doing surveys. It keeps things from getting too monotonous. Please post what you do. I'm always looking for ideas to make it more fun.

  5. Grumpy, no way in hell I would give them that info. I think that is absolutely ridiculous. They basically are saying they will not help you unless you give them private info over the internet for a survey that probably is worth about a dollar or so. No way. I’d tell them to get bent.

  6. Yeah, I have seen some interesting stuff in political surveys lately. A lot of them have questions on how I feel about investigations, impeachment, what direction the country is going to, etc. I think things will continue to get more interesting, and more biased in the surveys as we get closer to the election.

  7. I often see some subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) bias in these political surveys. The way they're constructed, for example, steering you to answer a certain way or even the actual wording of the questions. That's why even though I do surveys, I disregard the findings. Think by now we all know how misleading/wrong surveys, polls, etc. can be. (Edit to include something else I just thought of.) These sort of surveys also can be factually flawed. Recently had two similar surveys asking whether I would support or oppose certain legislation in my state. Problem was that two of the pieces of legislation had already been proposed, put on the ballot, voted on, passed and enacted...as much as three years ago! I pointed this out in both the first and second survey (in the survey comments section), but I begin to suspect that when you're asked for comments about a survey, they often are ignored, wasting my time and very rudimentary keyboard skills.

  8. Oh, it can be quite a ride. In texas some very contentious senate races lead to some very peculiar surveys about the candidates. Such as the Cruz/O'Rourke race. Like was this attack ad good, or was this one better? which attack ad is more believable? It was so outlandish, I made screen shots of the ads. If you change your political leanings from survey to survey the closer to the election, you will get to see the oppositions strategy.

  9. Thanks, I'm still trying. I know I'm overlooking it somehow.

  10. I think it's a simple copy and paste sort of job of the link? That's how I managed to post a few videos here, look them up on YouTube or wherever, copy the link, then past it here. Hope that helps you.

  14. Oh yeah. Those totally suck. And don't forget the ones asking you questions about companies that you would have no reason to know the answer to, like how well they pay their employees, or whether they have a good company culture, or whether their leadership team has strategic vision.

  15. Love your post. When I started the word game I had no idea it would still be going strong now. I enjoy it but yeah we need something here. Not sure what though. I'll have another martini and think about it. LOL

  16. I am usually listening to music or watching tv. I take breaks frequently so it doesn't get too monotonous.

  17. I have a habit of checking my e-mail each day for surveys sites have actually sent to me and then take it from there. During morning hours, I may have music on, or eating while taking surveys. I typically take breaks just to get my butt up, may do stuff like laundry, or clean the apartment. In the evening I typically don't take that many surveys, and do stuff like get on this site or watch Netflix. Maybe have a few beers, and dinner. In general, I'm pretty focused on surveys when taking them, though, without that much outside distraction.

  18. I quit OneOpinion recently. I got so bitter with them over a survey that I had all the info for: number, screenshot. To sum it up, I completed a two minute survey for 1.50 that took me three minutes but rerouted and didn’t even give dq points. I went through it all, emails, social media, Emily....with their final answer being I sped through the survey (again, I logged three minutes for a two minute job). They utterly refused to pay me. I recited my history with them and told them that I was not going to back down. They let me know they wouldn’t either BUT they did agree to meet my demand of paying the 7.90 balance I had earned and to delete my account. Funny footnote, the greedy slobs rounded the payment up to $8. So if you’re tired of them and they’re doing this to you, too, screenshot, grab the survey number fight for what’s yours, lose and they might pay out at lower amount if you’re ready to move on. I’ve made so much with them over the years and was really sad it turned out this way. I am bipolar but I can’t put my finger on what triggered me with that particular survey. I think it had just been a bad survey week, lol and I had just had it. I was crushed, honestly, to see the decline in the site. Do they still even give the 250 DQ points?
