  2. J.D. Power surveys have survey-takers spending a huge amount of time completing one of its surveys and when a survey-taker clicks the "Submit" button, no payment. Best to skip J.D. Power surveys that gather all your hard work, and then, give you nothing for your efforts.

  3. Yes, JD Powers surveys are nothing but scams. I don't think anyone has successfully completed one. If I ever see one, I just X out. I refuse to waste my valuable time on them.

  4. Thanks. The Attorney General's office of NY emailed me back and asked to call them to follow up. Even though their main HQ is in the UK, they also have an office in Brooklyn, NY. I doubt I will ever get my $38 of survey money back from them, but I would really like to see them get shut down. I would probably have to sue them in small claims court to get my money back, but probably not worth the trouble over $38. I also have a pending complaint with the BBB

  5. I'm guessing that first option should have said English!

  6. I always choose the free transfer, and I still get my money later the same day. Go figure.

  7. That would be nice if they would tell a user the rule broken and/or why they were cancelled. Also , give the user a chance to respond to the accusation. Few do that , unfortunately.

  9. I am finally getting some surveys I finish. I will stay with them. I do wish they would tell us what we do wrong or give a warning.

  10. Yes, Prolific is great, until they decide to toss you out, which they did to me almost a year ago. Of course they would not tell me why. I think I was making more money from them than they were comfortable with.

  11. Dynata are awful for this. Ever had the one where they ask you what you would take to the beach or something, or the one about about your favorite sandwiches, complete waste of time. I always give them silly answers.

  12. I do remember giving them something but it was a few years ago, not sure what it was. The company is British based...I am in the U.S. so wasn't worried. The surveys we get are from PhD students all over the world. I look at it this way, it pays my monthly electric bill and more. I average $20 a day, now that may make my friends laugh who are making loads of money per hour but to me, that's $600 a month which I need! I'm retired so have the time to do this but if you keep checking their site, you can pretty much find many surveys per day. It depends on your financial situation, Sandy. If I didn't have Prolific, I would be unhappy because it's my biggest source of income. Not everyone is as broke as me, lol. I know it's a pain to have to be looking over our shoulders for identity theft but I have never had a problem. Plus, Prolific is really interesting. So different than "which cake box do you like better?" stuff from other companies. We have a chance to write to the creator of the survey, everyone is always polite and they give bonuses on certain surveys. Maybe reconsider. Honestly, I have been doing surveys for 12 years and this company is in another class, very professional. Your decision, your comfort level...good luck whatever you decide!

  13. Pureprofile sent me a survey a while back that had three parts: 1. Do a survey 2. Watch a video 3. Do a followup survey based on the video. The payment was in two parts: the initial survey payment and the incentive for doing the followup survey after watching the video. I did all three and patiently waited for followup incentive payment which was supposed to take about a month. Yesterday the payment finally showed up in my account and then.................... when I logged into my account a little while ago I found out that payment had been reversed and taken out of my account. Of course when I received the payment I removed all the emails in regards to this survey an followup payment!!!! I also did another one of those e-diaries with them concerning radio listening. You know, record the stationed you listened to, the time, and how long that you did it. The survey covered a period of a week. I previously did two of these and commented on on how long it took to get paid: five and six weeks or so for each of them. Well I still haven't been paid that last e-diary yet either and it going on a month for that one too. I think that I'm pretty much done with doing these type of surveys with them. Having to chase up payment and now with the reversal it makes them not worth the effort. I never did get the second payment from a previous two-part survey that I did with them. So another email has been sent and more waiting. I can hardly wait to see the canned reply I get from them this time.............I also wonder if I will get paid.......
