  1. I am sure we all got this email beginning with the following: "Just a few more days until PaidViewpoint’s rebrand takes place! Get ready for a fresh logo, updated colors, and a modernized design that'll make your experience even better." I believe in the expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" but that doesn't ever seem to be the case nowadays. All sites update and then we, as the user, have to get used to all the changes. For me most of the changes are totally unnecessary and just make it so much more difficult to navigate a site. Yes, we all eventually get used to the changes but more often than not, these changes are totally unnecessary. But this is JMHO. I really like PaidViewpoint and hope these changes are truly for the better. Am I the only one that feels "Leave well enough alone." ? Thanks for your input

  2. I agree it's nothing like it used to be

  3. Paid Viewpoints is really good once you get your trait score raised to 10,000. Until then you get a lot of $.10 surveys. I think yougov is good too, and Clear Voice. Survey Police also has a list of the best survey sites every year.

  4. Or the one that wants your opinion of a bunch of companies that have maybe two in the list that I've even heard of. Then they ask you to rate each one in 20 different things, like how they treat their employees and how well they conserve energy. How should I know, I never heard of the place? Got something new just now. The survey warned against using A.I. to answer.

  5. I told them I would give them a Rave becsue they always get back to me when I have an issue like not getiing my points from completing a survey. I do not contact them each time it happens.

  6. I have been with PrizeRebel for about a year now, and qualify for roughly 1 in 50 surveys. Anyone else find this site hard to qualify for surveys?

  7. As others have mentioned, I think this was a mistake and you were not supposed to see this. I've had similar messages within surveys, making no sense, am sure those are in error too.

  9. And recently I've been getting ones with very grainy pictures that could be almost anything.

  10. i have been coming across more and more surveys that ask for your full name, address and phone number when you start the survey. and it is not for those that are sending you a product to test, just the start of a normal survey. i close out of those now when i see them. YouGov asks for that same information at the end of a survey which means you have spent time on that survey and then you have to give them all that info to continue. it's bad enough they can track me by my IP address but now want my home address????

  11. Got that last week. Don't know anyone who would be interested either. Besides Pinecone is at present nothing more than a shadow of its old self and I'd never recommend them. Sorry to be so harsh but I truly believe this to be true.

  12. Just got the following: 1) Do you have any pets? None That was the ONLY choice. I have 2 dogs but since I had no choice but None I clicked on None and got the following: "We are sorry but you do not qualify as we are looking for pet owners" Go figure!

  13. I have also had that before Another one is How many children do you have Answer none Survey How old are your children

  14. i get many that give you a list to chose from, but there is no NONE OF THE ABOVE. you either pick something that is not applicable to you or just x out of the survey.

  15. I just did a few surveys on Paid Viewpoint. I had problems with one of the surveys loading, and when I tried to move on to another survey, it told me I had to complete the other survey. I also had a survey that probably took me 15 minutes to complete. I had to give my opinion on a new product, and I think I only got $.30 for it. I did four surveys though.

  16. I despise the survey where you are asked if you buy this and that. It's supposed to take 10 or 15 minutes to complete the survey. But if you REALLY answer all the questions it can take up to an hour or more. Next step, they give you a list of every store in the universe that might or might not sell each and every product you mentioned that you bought. You are supposed to check off all rhe stores where you boughr the product. Screen after screen asks you the same thing for every product you said you bought. I never take these surveys. a big, boring waste of time.

  17. I liked the site the way it was before..simple & plain...why rebrand & make it all fancy & there's nothing new for the members?? Oh wait you can change the look of the site from day to night...

  18. I figure it's there to cover them for everything short of the International Space Station falling on them and to screw us the survey taker. I tried reading it once and found it's a total screw job. No more reading for me, they're gonna do what they're gonna do....

  20. I've seen something like that a couple of times in the middle of a survey, but they weren't nearly as understandable as yours. I assumed it was shown by mistake.

  24. Has anyone gotten a survey from Focus Forward on weight loss, maybe 2 like I did, proceed to answer 20 plus minutes of questions to be told at the end that the required number of responses have already been reached? What a bunch of deceitful miners! How likely is Focus Forward to delete my data since it wasn't needed? Of course not. These snakes have a way of mining our time and data and then refusing to pay and they know we have no way of knowing if their denial is valid or not. I used to have respect for Focus Forward but no longer. I bet they only needed a small number of people's answers but let countless users go ahead and respond. If you don't know or use this group, don't bother.

  25. I got that question this morning too.. of course I was kicked off. If I had the money to spend 1000 dollars on a handbag, I wouldn't need to do these nonsensical surveys and they are becoming more non nonsensical and redundant by the day. They can't think of anything new.

  26. I have seen one survey company (can't remember which one) who warms before you start that if they reach the required number of respondents before you finish, you won't get credit, but for the most part, I think it's a way to get info without ponying up the rewards. If it makes you feel any better, this seems to happen far less often than it did when I took surveys 15 years ago. I'd finish one in 20, maybe, and always get kicked off at the end. It's why I quit taking them back then.

  27. I've gotten that "employed full time" nonsense several times. If they are only looking for people who are employed full time, that's a pretty lame way to do it.

  28. So, in short, Pinecone isn't worth trying?
    2 points
  29. So do I. I don't choose long surveys deliberately because I've spent too much time on them only to get DQ'd at the end, so I'd rather stick to the shorter ones. I suspect it's because many screeners bounce you around. One screener I get a lot says "we're finding you a survey." What about the one I clicked on in the first place? If it's full or whatever, bounce me out and let me find my own substitute.

  30. I get at least one of those a week. Yesterday, after I said I was retired, they asked what field of work I'm in, and there was no None of the above.

  34. I had a survey about sustainable food/farming tonight for 15 minutes & 30 points. After about a half hour (already). I wasn't even halfway thru the survey. I closed it out. Wasting time frustrates me to no end. And the survey cat survey I took now has 4 videos to watch and the videos are getting longer. I feel like I'm watching the evening news bc it's so long. What happened to watching just political ads? GRRR

  36. I liked the new colors but it is unnecessarily complicated to find out that there are no surveys available. I still believe that if 'it ain't broke don't fix it.' Seems strange that they'd launch the new site on a holiday weekend. Hopefully if there are problems some people are there to fix it!

  37. Definitely the latter. They're pulling from a database that hasn't been maintained in aeons, because maintenance costs money, and having a buggy survey doesn't. It always makes me sad seeing Fresh & Easy in lists - they were one of my favorite grocery stores, until they went out of business like a decade ago.

  38. I see Wieboldt's listed as well. It was closed in 1987 and I'm surprised it lasted that long. I went there as a very little kid in the early 60s. I think these are just trick questions to weed out the non-serious survey takers.

  39. They have Daytons in some surveys and they have been gone from Minnesota for years. They were the top department store for years.

  40. I read it mostly, unless it's one of those REALLY long ones. Fortunately, I end up with many of the same companies over and over so I haven't had to read one for a couple of months. And yeah, they have to post that stuff by law, but it is written to protect THEM.

  42. I thought it was just me.. Dumped them awhile back. I call that site the 'survey go round site'.. after 20 minutes going from survey to survey that you don't qualify for, you've wasted your time with 0 points

  49. Data entry is dead as it's so simple any AI or they can pay someone in a developing country $1/hour to crank it out. Any data entry jobs nowadays are in HIGH demand and usually go to whoever will do it cheapest. So you'd be competing with people from the Philippines working for pennies if you actually found one of the non-scam jobs. Any job promising anything close to a living wage will be a scam. Especially if they want to send you a check or you to buy equipment. I see people on Reddit get scammed daily by these data entry job scams. Mturk is only profitable with surveys and closed qual HITs, which are like winning the lottery to get. There is also a steep learning curve, as you have to install several scripts and learn the routine. People used to make a living on there, but nowadays it's barren for the most part. I have been on the platform for about 10 years now, and have seen all the data entry HITs that paid anything reasonable disappear as AI got better and the platform got even more saturated. There are lots of paid opportunities online, but they will all require brainwork as AI can do these simple, easy tasks now. Lots of jobs online to help train AI. Automation will take those jobs too at some point. Automation is happening and will take over a lot of industries. I've been working online 10 years and the struggle is to continue learning and adapting to survive.
