  1. I am sure we all got this email beginning with the following: "Just a few more days until PaidViewpoint’s rebrand takes place! Get ready for a fresh logo, updated colors, and a modernized design that'll make your experience even better." I believe in the expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" but that doesn't ever seem to be the case nowadays. All sites update and then we, as the user, have to get used to all the changes. For me most of the changes are totally unnecessary and just make it so much more difficult to navigate a site. Yes, we all eventually get used to the changes but more often than not, these changes are totally unnecessary. But this is JMHO. I really like PaidViewpoint and hope these changes are truly for the better. Am I the only one that feels "Leave well enough alone." ? Thanks for your input

  2. I agree it's nothing like it used to be

  3. Paid Viewpoints is really good once you get your trait score raised to 10,000. Until then you get a lot of $.10 surveys. I think yougov is good too, and Clear Voice. Survey Police also has a list of the best survey sites every year.

  4. Or the one that wants your opinion of a bunch of companies that have maybe two in the list that I've even heard of. Then they ask you to rate each one in 20 different things, like how they treat their employees and how well they conserve energy. How should I know, I never heard of the place? Got something new just now. The survey warned against using A.I. to answer.

  5. I told them I would give them a Rave becsue they always get back to me when I have an issue like not getiing my points from completing a survey. I do not contact them each time it happens.

  6. I have been with PrizeRebel for about a year now, and qualify for roughly 1 in 50 surveys. Anyone else find this site hard to qualify for surveys?

  7. As others have mentioned, I think this was a mistake and you were not supposed to see this. I've had similar messages within surveys, making no sense, am sure those are in error too.

  9. And recently I've been getting ones with very grainy pictures that could be almost anything.

  10. i have been coming across more and more surveys that ask for your full name, address and phone number when you start the survey. and it is not for those that are sending you a product to test, just the start of a normal survey. i close out of those now when i see them. YouGov asks for that same information at the end of a survey which means you have spent time on that survey and then you have to give them all that info to continue. it's bad enough they can track me by my IP address but now want my home address????

  11. Got that last week. Don't know anyone who would be interested either. Besides Pinecone is at present nothing more than a shadow of its old self and I'd never recommend them. Sorry to be so harsh but I truly believe this to be true.

  12. Just got the following: 1) Do you have any pets? None That was the ONLY choice. I have 2 dogs but since I had no choice but None I clicked on None and got the following: "We are sorry but you do not qualify as we are looking for pet owners" Go figure!

  13. I have also had that before Another one is How many children do you have Answer none Survey How old are your children

  14. i get many that give you a list to chose from, but there is no NONE OF THE ABOVE. you either pick something that is not applicable to you or just x out of the survey.

  15. I just did a few surveys on Paid Viewpoint. I had problems with one of the surveys loading, and when I tried to move on to another survey, it told me I had to complete the other survey. I also had a survey that probably took me 15 minutes to complete. I had to give my opinion on a new product, and I think I only got $.30 for it. I did four surveys though.

  16. I despise the survey where you are asked if you buy this and that. It's supposed to take 10 or 15 minutes to complete the survey. But if you REALLY answer all the questions it can take up to an hour or more. Next step, they give you a list of every store in the universe that might or might not sell each and every product you mentioned that you bought. You are supposed to check off all rhe stores where you boughr the product. Screen after screen asks you the same thing for every product you said you bought. I never take these surveys. a big, boring waste of time.

  17. I liked the site the way it was before..simple & plain...why rebrand & make it all fancy & there's nothing new for the members?? Oh wait you can change the look of the site from day to night...

  18. I figure it's there to cover them for everything short of the International Space Station falling on them and to screw us the survey taker. I tried reading it once and found it's a total screw job. No more reading for me, they're gonna do what they're gonna do....

  20. I've seen something like that a couple of times in the middle of a survey, but they weren't nearly as understandable as yours. I assumed it was shown by mistake.

  25. So, in short, Pinecone isn't worth trying?

  26. Same thing happened to me the 1st time I cashed out with the new site. Thought they had done away with all but Paypal. But , after verifying Paypal , the gift cards (codes) options were there. So , verify the Paypal account and you will be good to go.

  27. So do I. I don't choose long surveys deliberately because I've spent too much time on them only to get DQ'd at the end, so I'd rather stick to the shorter ones. I suspect it's because many screeners bounce you around. One screener I get a lot says "we're finding you a survey." What about the one I clicked on in the first place? If it's full or whatever, bounce me out and let me find my own substitute.

  29. Hi Sandy21, I am a brand new member of Survey Police and am enjoying your very generous contributions here. I am amazed at the sinking level of customer service (to survey takers, and more generally customers, job applicants, ad nauseum.) in business life in general It seems that with a very basic investment and a little thought, so much goodwill could be returned. It is epidemic. Best to you, MM

  30. i see that one all the time too. you select the stores you know, and then it says how much did you spend in a store that you nver heard of !

  32. It really is a difficult journey to begin but if you check out the top survey sites here on SP you will find the right ones for you. Depending on your demographics, certain sites may be better for you than others. Best of luck!

  33. I had a survey about sustainable food/farming tonight for 15 minutes & 30 points. After about a half hour (already). I wasn't even halfway thru the survey. I closed it out. Wasting time frustrates me to no end. And the survey cat survey I took now has 4 videos to watch and the videos are getting longer. I feel like I'm watching the evening news bc it's so long. What happened to watching just political ads? GRRR

  34. I've gotten a few messages like that on other sites. Some inexperienced peon probably set it up wrong.

  35. Had a survey or 2 today as well and reached cash out. The cash out was a bit confusing as it only seemed to show Paypal as the option and required confirmation of the account. Once confirmed , all options (Paypal , gift codes) showed. Cashed out for Amazon and was able to get it immediately like the old site.

  36. I had to do the same thing and get a code to sign in the first time, but I've been able to go in through the day without signing in again. I do have to click a verification to prove I'm human every time, though. A bit of a bother. I liked it the old way. I tend to resist change. lol

  37. I liked the new colors but it is unnecessarily complicated to find out that there are no surveys available. I still believe that if 'it ain't broke don't fix it.' Seems strange that they'd launch the new site on a holiday weekend. Hopefully if there are problems some people are there to fix it!

  38. I'm glad you did. People are always quick to complain, but it's really rare for someone to express some appreciation for something good, especially online.

  39. Not sure if we're thinking about the same survey, but there's this one pre-survey that I get occasionally that lists like 15 stores and asks if you've shopped at any of them in the past month, and at least several of the stores are ones that I've never heard of or don't believe actually exist anymore. From my experience that survey is basically one big trick question because it also asks a few other questions that are clearly meant to detect bots or people who aren't paying attention.

  40. I see Wieboldt's listed as well. It was closed in 1987 and I'm surprised it lasted that long. I went there as a very little kid in the early 60s. I think these are just trick questions to weed out the non-serious survey takers.

  41. Once in a blue moon I'll see similar "testing" text during a survey, presumably because of a glitch since survey takers aren't supposed to see that information. However it's mostly gibberish that I don't fully understand, not quite as concise and neat as what you posted.
    2 points
  42. I read it mostly, unless it's one of those REALLY long ones. Fortunately, I end up with many of the same companies over and over so I haven't had to read one for a couple of months. And yeah, they have to post that stuff by law, but it is written to protect THEM.

  44. Survey has a bunch of pre screener questions that I qualified with.. ( survey was supposed to take no more than 10 minutes) Then it tells you: we want to show you a short video before the next set.. You get the silly music with dolphins swimming and the video buffers and buffers..I keep refreshing.. but it still happens.. Another 5 minutes passes and finally goes on to the next video ad.. stop starts, stop.. etc... then another.. ( buffer) Finally I click 'continue' Message appears says: 'you have reached the end but you took too long so you are disqualified' I find myself saying a few 4 letter words aloud and then laugh at myself for being foolish enough to have been patient just in the hopes of collecting 20 points
    2 points
  45. Hehe, I've been saying a few four-letter words to myself today as well. Especially when routed through several screeners in survey router hell and then being dq'd. Last week took the cake for the number of FULL surveys I completed and was not being compensated!
    2 points
  46. Never encountered that in 20+ years now. Most sites do however limit the number of DQs one can do and get credit.

  47. I've had it before..to me it means that survey is full & you wouldn't be able to do it regardless...I just move on to the next one...it's happened on Tellwut & other sites that I use.

  48. The other problem with those photo ones is how small some of the pictures are. Pick all the photos with traffic lights. Well, it looks like there's a wire across the road about a mile away, but I can't really tell if there's a traffic signal hanging down or not. I hate those grainy ones too. I had one with bicycles the other day, and one click was just a lucky guess, because I couldn't tell what the thing was.
    2 points
  49. I hate them but worse are the captcha pictures. Click on all of the motorcycles. Do I click on the end of the back wheel which is also in a box? I guess not because they give me another one and on. and on. These are ridiculous. Of course I'm not a robot. They really insult our intelligence.
