footfree Posted May 4, 2018 Report Share Posted May 4, 2018 I went to day and cashed my check at my husbands credit union - no problems.He comes home from work and said the credit union called him and said they cannot cash Canadian checks.They do have 1 place that would cash the check for them but it will cost them $20 to cash a foreign check.Well the check is only worth $20 so now they are mailing us back the check.I know I have cashed their checks before at my own credit union -hopefully they can cash it.Has anyone else had this problem?I'm not even sure which bank they use .I have never heard of this before.Just hoping that when I take it to my own bank there wont be a problem.
