Recommended Posts

The purpose of this survey is to study how often and to what extent virtual goods theft effects online multiplayer games. Virtual goods theft is where an item has been taken from an in-game inventory without consent. This survey gathers instances and non-instances of virtual goods theft for a class research project in CJUS 570 (Crime in Public Spaces). This is a voluntary and confidential survey. Data collection procedures ensure that the information is
anonymous. If you feel uncomfortable with any of the questions asked within this survey, please
feel free to skip the question or stop answering. The risks to participating are minimal as research
procedures will keep your information private. The benefit of participating is
that you will help us to understand more about the risks associated will online gaming. Your
participation is greatly appreciated. This should take no more than 5 minutes. The data will be
used by students in a class project to generate a public report. Only grouped, averaged responses
will be used. Individual answers will not be reported. This survey has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of California State University, San Bernardino.

Thank you so much for your participation!
