Virtual goods theft is where an item has been taken from an in-game inventory without consent. This survey gathers instances and non-instances of virtual goods theft for a class research project in CJUS 570 (Crime in Public Spaces). This is a voluntary and confidential survey. Data collection procedures ensure that the information is anonymous. If you feel uncomfortable with any of the questions asked within this survey, please feel free to skip the question or stop answering. The risks to participating are minimal as research procedures will keep your information private. The benefit of participating is that you will help us to understand more about the risks associated will online gaming. Your participation is greatly appreciated. This should take no more than 5 minutes. The data will be used by students in a class project to generate a public report. Only grouped, averaged responses will be used. Individual answers will not be reported.
