Factors Involved in Eating Behaviour and Attitude

Hello all, I am a student at Swinburne University in Melbourne, Australia.

A passion for healthy eating and fitness is generally a good thing, with an abundance of research demonstrating the benefits of a focus in such areas for many people. However, it appears that for select people this may not entirely be the case. This study does not focus on the idea that fitness and dieting are inherently problematic, rather, certain potentially problematic factors may lead to distortions or extremities in particular behaviours that are generally for the most part harmless and even beneficial. We aim to understand why this may be the case.

To identify if these factors are important, we need people who vary across the whole range of eating behaviour, from those who have no difficulties, to those who engage in more extreme eating behaviour.

The study involves an online survey whereby all responses are 100% anonymous. Both women and men are invited to participate. The only requirement is you are over 18 years of age. If you wish to participate please follow the link:
