NevadaJones
Yikes! Not sure what went on here. Quarantine fever? Over my head, I guess.
dawn_b_adams
Yeah, I think all of this is definitely getting to people. Whenever I feel crappy, I try to go for a walk, even if it’s just around the block, just to get out of the house for awhile and get some fresh air. Whenever I have something to mail, I also walk to a mailbox. About the only place I go where there’s people is the grocery store, during early morning senior hours. But that’s starting to get pretty crowded too. I think, I’ll try going later at night a couple of hours before the store closes. The last time I did that, I practically had the store to myself. And people were stocking like crazy, so it wasn’t like the shelves were too picked over. I even found toilet paper. My hubby is now permanently in the nursing home, and has been approved for Medicaid to pay for it. I have bad days where I feel really guilty, but I really had no choice. I try to distract myself when I’m feeling like that. As far as surveys go, I’m actually getting more surveys from some sites, and some sites getting less. I spend less time doing surveys now. I do more reading, and binge watching new TV series that I discovered and like. I just got done with The Morning Show on Apple TV+, and The Good Fight on CBS All Access. I play more hidden object online games too. It helps pass the time. I just try my best to be grateful and thankful for what I have. Life is precious. So I hope all of us can find the time to unwind when the stress level is up there. Easier said than done. Some day, there will come a time when restaurants and stuff are open. I try not to think of how long that may take. It will happen when it does. There isn’t a lot I have any control over. I do have control of my attitude, and how I react to things. I’m trying to work on that while all this goes on. Thanks for “listening”. We are all in this together.
dawn_b_adams
Haven’t heard anything in our “pub” for awhile. How are you all doing? Wisconsin lifted pretty much any restrictions on COVID-19. I can go to my local watering hole and have a few beers, but am still reluctant to do so. I want to see where the numbers go. I envy the people I do see dining in. They are braver than I am at this point. I know at some time I will just throw up my hands and do it. Fortunately, a lot of places have outdoor seating. I really don’t want to eat indoors anywhere. The weather is great here, and I have two patios, so I am spending quite a bit of time outdoors. I’m still walking 3-4 miles a day. I got to have a window visit with my hubby at the nursing home. First time I saw him in two months. I bawled like a baby. It was wonderful to see him. He’s doing well and looks great. They are taking good care of him. I am planning to make these window visits a weekly thing. I’m so appreciative of the nursing home being great with this. I hope you all are holding up okay.
NevadaJones
Things here are slowly beginning to open up, but with all the typical restrictions. Likely too late though. The economic damage is gonna be long lasting and, in some cases, permanent. Some businesses, small and some not so small, have already said they won't be reopening. Even doubtful that a few of the locals casinos will ever reopen, unless they are sold. And who would buy a casino right now? Well, maybe for a dollar I would. Unemployment rate here in the area where I live is over 33%! Airport traffic here in April was down over 96%! But what to expect when your local economy is so largely dependent on tourism/hospitality, right? Can't imagine I'll live long enough to see things get back to where they were before the virus, if they ever do. But it is what it is. Do cool people still say that? And, Dawn, glad to hear hubby is doing well. PS This may wind up being a double post as the original post is showing as "hidden." Not sure what's up with that. 1
ksedwar
They got caught in the spam filter for some reason. You may have "abused" the smileys lol. Not sure though. Just a guess. I deleted the first one and approved the second.

seven
I'm scared of the world we now live in. There's nothing I can do about it though. Just stand by and watch the madness. Seems like.
NevadaJones
No doubt the world is going to crap in so many ways. But you're not alone. We're all having to cope in one way or another. I am still holding out hope the aliens will show up and save us. Of course, I am also assuming they'll be friendly.
