NFriday
I just got an email that there are 18 states giving out stimulus checks. Has anybody gotten one? I tried to find out which states are giving them out, but I could not figure that out.
somelady
It may be a scam. Who sent the email? Do you usually get legit emails from them? Is there a lot of numbers, letters and special characters in the email address? These are things to look for to avoid spam. If you want to find out search your state and stimulus checks. Don't click anything in the email.
mnleona
No. I agree, it might be a scam.
Useless
I kept getting ads on my phone last year about new stimulus checks. That was all a scam. Now I keep getting calls telling me they are from my (unnamed) Medicare plan (yeah, sure) and they want to make sure I got my new Medicare card. I told the last one that Medicare is NOT giving out new cards and that the FTC has said that their operation is a scam, so quit calling. I'm sure they just want to "confirm" my Medicare number somewhere down the line, but I don't let them get that far.

Useless
This morning it's a new one. A lady with such a thick accent I couldn't understand most of what she said wanted to update my "medical information." I could hear other voices in the background, so it's obviously a boiler room operator. I told her I didn't know what they were after but I was sure it was a scam and to leave me alone, then hung up.
