Sandy21
It makes me crazy when I see misspelled words while taking a survey It happens more and more lately. Today the word I saw misspelled 3 times was cholesterol, spelled colesterol once and cholestrol twice. Another word thst i see frequently misspelled is separate, spelled seperate. I guess proofreading is a thing of the past! Are there any particular words that you see misspelled over and over again?
ConnecticutMarc
Proofreading IS a thing of the past to the mutants that write surveys!!!!!
mnleona
I see it also. Recently I saw it in a book I won and did a correction in my review
Useless
They must not even use any form of spell check because that would have caught "cholesterol".
jipsyjo30
Yes, I see this quite frequently. It drives me crazy. I see ones where the letters are transposed-suvrey instead of survey and more than once I've been asked to compete a survey instead of complete. Another one that I hate is when they ask for your marital status one of the choices is window instead of widow!! 1
Mommabear
Soon after reading this topic, I noticed on a survey I was taking: Golf Port Strike... aka Gulf Port Strike

Sandy21
I just finished a survey where I was asked What is not a vegetable? broccoli green pees asparagus apples I chose apples (the correct answer) although I wanted to choose green pees (obviously they meant green peas) One letter makes a world of difference, does it not!? Sandy21
Another misspelling, I think? What word is most closely related to sky? octopus sleigh stir basket I do believe the misspelling is 'stir' as opposed to what it should be, 'star'. I chose stir and was permitted the pleasure of taking the survey, for which I was promptly disqualified 10 minutes later! So now we have to be able to figure out what is actually meant besides attempting to choose the correct answer. So much fun!
mnleona
These make you laugh and cry. Sad about the spelling.
Sandy21
Misspellings JUMP out at me, for some reason, even if they are not funny or silly. A few minutes ago I was taking a survey about cough drops. Three times cough drops were misspelled as cough 'drips' rather than drops. Proofreading is surely a thing of the past!

I used to edit a newsletter for an aquarium club for 8 years. They tend to stand out to me as well.
Sandy21
What word is most closely related to shirt? church sleave steak puppy Obviously sleave is misspelled, should be sleeve. I chose it and was booted anyway...
