For the first time ever Pinecone Research didn't credit me for a survey.

I took one yesterday. It was for an entertainment survey which apparently I didn't qualify for but it redirected me to take another survey about crackers and I finished that one. To my surprise no credit was issued for it. I always get credited and sent an email about it at 1 or 2am in my timezone but there was nothing. So just in case the email didn't go through I logged in and nope, wasn't credited. I looked into it even more and it doesn't even have a record in the history that there was a survey yesterday. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm wondering if maybe they're just being late to crediting this time or if I should try to contact customer service? The last time I contacted customer service I was pretty disappointed in their response. I had contacted them about a survey that was making me answer a question that didn't apply to me and there was no option to say, "I didn't do that./Doesn't apply." or something to that effect. So I tried asking them about it and they just replied with basically, "Sorry, the survey is now closed." It wasn't closed yet cause I could re-access it anytime to finish it so idk what they were talking about. I'm guessing their CS just doesn't want to deal with stuff or didn't care so they just gave me a goofy response and probably without even looking into it at all.

I am sorry this happened to you. But I am not at all surprised.  Pinecone isn't even a shadow of its former self.

It has happened  to me at least twice in the past year where I wasn't credted for completing  a  survey,  I didn't even contact CS, not worth my time

That is good news and bad news.  I finish a lot of  surveys and credit so once is really good news. Hope it is a one time problem.

Shenanigans

I had exactly the same thing happen to me in the last few days. Can't recall the topic of the survey and couldn't be arsed to follow it up as I was already frazzled from having to waste time trying to deal with other non-survey customer service morons.

I have been taking surveys with PCR for over 15 years and usually paid $3/survey the same day in the very late evening PST. Lately, they've haven't credited my account and when I write in to tell them they just say: NOPE, we are not going to pay you, and/or we closed the survey, or we don't want your input. They just go through this stint of NOT paying for awhile and then later start up again.  I don't get it either?!?  They are a pathetic company and I will just delete their survey invitations for awhile, again! They are so inconsistent, untrustworthy and will NEVER help you with a positive outcome when you write in. This has just happened to me with two surveys in the last two weeks. This is my experience with them lately.  They STINK!!

Yeah, since I created this post I could've sworn that I completed at least 1 other survey through them, maybe even last night. But once again, I didn't get any credit for it. I just took another one tonight, and this time I had to check if I got credited for that other survey and nope. It doesn't even show in my history, so I guess some of these surveys aren't tracked for some reason. Luckily the one I took tonight was tracked cause that one shows. I'm wondering if I should even bother trying to contact them about it. They want you to list the survey number when contacting them but the one I need to put is not available in the drop-down menu. I can find the email for the invitation, and I only got a project #, idk if that's the same as the survey number they're requiring.

When they switch surveys on me they usually say you are entering  ...survey and give the survey number. I copy the number in case of any problems. If they don't give  the survey number I won't do it. Anytime any other survey site switches the survey I won't do it. One time recently I sis an ACOP survey, when it ended the pay was less than it was supposed to be. I wrote cs and they said I didn't qualify for that one so they switched it to a partner survey. I wrote them back saying how this was unethical bla bla bla and they should have notified me. They ended up giving me the original pay.

Thanks for this post and excellent advice. . You are fortunate to have written to CS and eventually gotten full pay.
