gothicnaturefreak
So, I've heard of people being randomly asked to provide ID on survey sites for things like withdrawals or to change phone numbers... I've been on the Surveys On The Go app since probably 2017, but suddenly towards the end of 2022 I stopped getting any surveys. I tried deleting and re-installing the app several times. That didn't fix it. When I first tried contacting customer service they just said, "Sorry but the app is only available to US residents at this time." Idk why they thought I wasn't a US resident?! I'm guessing they just didn't care to really look into it and gave me a goofy answer. So I tried several more times to delete and re-install the app but still didn't fix it. I kinda gave up but after a few months I decided to try again, still nothing. I didn't really want to bother contacting customer service again cause of how they responded before, but I decided to try again. This time they're asking for ID before they even do anything?! I don't know why they'd want my ID for this. It's not like I'm trying to change info (and haven't ever changed my info) and I don't have enough money in the account to withdraw. Should I even bother giving them my ID? They say I can block out the sensitive parts of it and just show my name and DOB but I still find it weird. Is it even safe to do this? I just want to know why I'm suddenly not getting surveys anymore, re-installing the app several times didn't fix it.
NFriday
They just want to make sure you are not a bot. The survey originators are asking for this.

The app was fun while it lasted. I will note in their message, they said sometimes accounts will be up for review or something... If that's true I have no idea what would've triggered my account to need reviewing. If they like flagged my account or something it would've been nice to get some sort of notification that something was up, instead of just suddenly no more surveys without any explanation.
mnleona
Hope they accept that. No reason for it.

I had to have them verify my ID in order to change my phone number. But I've seen on their Facebook page others complaining about needing an ID check for lessor things.

I've never been asked for ID for anything on there yet. Not even when I had to change my phone number cause they started making you verify via text to claim rewards and access them. At least for me they've been making me verify every time.

I waited weeks for them to verify my ID and update my phone number only to find out it had processed long before and I had to edit my number myself once the verification went through.
