Useless
I went through a bunch of survey questions to be told I'm accepted to enter this study. They want to send me some kind of gizmo to plug into my internet router to keep tabs on all the internet usage in the household. WHAT???? I'm a household of one, and I don't sell assassination services through the Dark Web, but what I do use it for is nobody's business. The only people I can imagine signing up for this are the teens who can't get enough internet exposure, except they'll be disappointed when they don't get "likes" or "followers" from this survey. Also, the router is phone company property. Maybe they wouldn't want some unknown device plugged into theirs? 2 1
jipsyjo30
I always decline those. I don't want some unfamiliar company "spying" on me. I'd have serious privacy concerns with a study like that. 1
Useless
It's the first time I've seen one. I hate to think of people being fooled like that. They could do all kinds of things, turn a computer into a crypto miner, hack into other stuff in the house, you name it.
Mommabear
They ask enough invasive questions for the pennies they dole out.. no need for that
mnleona
I have not seen this. I would not do it.
Dave351
I've experienced similar requests before. Unfortunately they are normally at the end of a 10-15 minute survey and the final question is along the lines of "Would you be willing to trial this?" Of course, whenever I've clicked no you always get told that they were looking for a different profile. This makes me even less likely to take up a company doing something like this if they feel that it is fair to gain survey responses for free.
