WHY Do We Get a Survey Invitation If We Don't Qualify Before We Even Get Started?

This happens day in and day out. I get a survery invitation for which I am suposedly qualified. I click on it and before I even answer one question I am told that I don't qualify.  I just don't  understand.

Does this happen to you? Any idea WHY this happens? It's aggravating at best.

Maybe I am being naive or trusting  or stupid here. We fill out these huge pages of info about ourselves in order to get matches to surveys. Then we are sent an invitation supposedly based on this information that is a match. We click on it and are IMMEDIATELY told it's not a match. Why does this happen? Because survey companies lie and don't give a darn?

I disqualify WAY more than I qualify.  At least it's better to get kicked out right away than to go through a bunch of screeners that are almost the length of a survey and then be DQ'd!

I find this to be frustrating and I am seeing it more on certain sites.  I get fed up.  I contacted customer service on one site and let them know that I wasn't even getting qualifying questions and they responded by telling me that I am receiving "screeners".  I didn't argue.  When you don't even answer one questions, how is that a screener.  This site used to be guaranteed surveys.

That happens on LifePoints all the time, the times when the survey isn't simply just closed already I mean. Also there've been at least 3 instances in the past year or so where after taking a survey on LifePoints they invite me to be part of a study after finishing a survey and ask for my email and full name, only for them to never contact me again for said study.

Would you mind telling us what site you are referring to?

Amazing that you got an answer to your question. I've pretty  much given up.on writing to CS as I almost never get a response.  Tellwut is the exception.

Pinecone.  I contacted them about a year ago because I was doing a survey, and all of a sudden I was being told that I didn't qualify.  I saw nothing saying that they were doing a screener.  It's just gone downhill the pat few years.  I'm sure I got a canned response to my inquiry, but still, if you tell me it's a survey, then it's a survey.
