Vindale

I started Vindale Research mid November and have cashed out $100. Sometimes the surveys are long but the pay out is quick. Through paypal plus friend referrals are nice...$5 per friend If they create an account and take the first couple practice studies and surveys, you get paid. It's an easy $50-$100 per month. My time is limited so it could be more than that monthly I suppose!

Vindale seems pretty lame to me. I like the amount of studies they have to offer but most pay $0.50 - $0.75 and take 30-45 mins to complete. I also often get screened after spending 15-25 mins of my time and end up with no cash.

I've been with Vindale since mid-November also, but I just cashed out on 1/15 for $50. That's a pretty long slog for 50 bucks. A lot of that is due to getting screened out at a ridiculously high rate, but that's across the board on ALL sites in my case...I'm a lousy demographic, I guess. And I haven't had any referrals yet, because A: I don't have a lotta friends who are interested in taking surveys, and B: I don't want to ask some one to join a panel until I can tell them that the panel pays as promised. Vindale did, btw...and very quickly.

One thing that did bother me involves customer service. I had a problem with a particular survey where I was practically finished, and a page asked for two selections to be made. But only one selection was shown on the page...nothing I tried worked, and I kept getting sent back to that page to make two selections. I finally closed it out, and emailed customer service. Their response was sorry, unless I completed the survey, I couldn't get credit. I've contacted plenty of other sites' customer services, and if the problem is with the survey, I've always gotten credit. That left me with a bad taste in my mouth towards Vindale.

they seem lame because they are. They stopped a payment on a $50 check on me. Check out their facebook page to see my posts. Feel free to post your comments on their page too. the more we speak out, the more likely they are to pay us.

Probably the worst company of all in my opinion and experience.

I joined Vindale on December 16, 2015 and have already cashed out for $50. I keep reading all these people say this site is lame and cheats people but I haven't had any of these problems. Yes, I've been kicked out of a lot of surveys but anyone who does surveys will tell you that this is perfectly normal. I am supposed to be paid on January 15 by Paypal so I don't know for certain that I'll actually get my $50 but, until I don't, I'm giving this site the benefit of the doubt. :D

UPDATE:  Here we are at the end of February and I've already received $100 and am expecting to receive another $50 on Feb 29th.  This is, by far, the best site I've found and worked with.  The only thing I don't like is that you must file an IRS Form W-9 when you get to $600 (which is common as that is a tax threshold).  I don't file income taxes so that means I'll have to stop at $550 but that's still WAY MORE than any other site I've been involved with.

Word of warning - if you are ever offered Toluna surveys through Vindale, my advice would be to click out of them.  I've done several (3-5) under Vindale's banner, some fairly lengthy, but have NEVER received credit for any of them.  Toluna is a joke anyway (they banned me for not kissing the behinds of the minorities on their forums) and I don't know if it's because of that ban or what but they do NOT pay off when they offer a survey through Vindale.

I needed a few bucks to make a cash out and I couldn't get what I needed. But I got offer after offer to buy stuff and then make a few cents to review it. My points started dropping off, because they were taking points away to try and force me to do the offers. I finally had to walk away with nothing because anything I had earned was gone. I never cashed out and I would never give them any positive nod. Things may have gotten a little better, because that was 3 years ago. I won't give them a second chance.

Thanks for letting us know about the IRS thing if earned $600 or more, I'll definitely be sure to stay under that amount, especially since I'm on housing and they have a employment verification update in their system that detects if I'm working another job without telling them. As long as I don't use my SSN I should be fine, even-though I don't think taking surveys will put me on the radar but signing up with Paypal to receive my funds might be a risk, hopefully not. I'm just trying to make some pocket & hopefully investment money with these surveys ........................ pluck, pluck!

Taking surveys in not considered a job. You get a 1099-MISC form that is checked as nonemployee compensation. I went over $600 with one survey company in 2015. I made $1326 with them. It really didn't do that much to my taxes. However, I am working also.
