Sandy21
I just sent the following to Survey Police HELP. Anyone else having a similar problem? Dear Survey Police The most bizarre thing has happened. I logged into your website earlier today and all was fine, I left a comment or two. Then I decided to try and join Paid Viewpoint from Survey Police. I had all kinds of problems using the link from SP and was unable to join. I logged out and did a few other things on my desktop computer. Then I decided to go back to SP website. I went to my bookmarks as I always do and clicked on the link. But instead of the SP familiar login I saw what appeared to be a totally different website and nowhere to log in. I also saw the following message " "Unfortunately SurveyPolice.com is not available in your area" There were ads and it DID say it was Survey Police. I thought something wS strange so I closed my browser and cleared the cache and history. Then I tried to reopen SP using using my bookmark and the same thing happened all over again. I did a Google search and clicked on Survey Police and the same strange website came up again. I was using Google Chrome so I switched to Microsoft Edge and the same thing happened, getting this strange website that says it's Survey Police but there is nowhere to log in as SP is not available in my area!! I ran all anti-virus software, a full virus scan etc. Nothing came up. But I still can't get to the usual SP website in any browser on my desktop. I then went to my cell phone and was able to log in to SP as usual. And BTW, I just tried to log into SP from my laptop and I get this strange new website saying it's SP but with the same message "Unfortunately SurveyPolice.com is not available in your area" and there is no way to log in. Tried Microsoft Edge and everything else I mentioned above...same thing. Thanks for any help you can give me with this ridiculous problem. I would like to use SP on my desktop amd laptop but for some reason I can't. I haven't the slightest idea what is wrong. Do you?
dawn_b_adams
You may have malware or a virus on your laptop and desktop. I was able to log on fine, no problems. I’d check with your ISP for your laptop and desktop. I have different ISP’s for my desktop, Ipad, and cell phone.

I still get the same odd website today. My ISP is useless... If it's a virus or malware it's strange that this is the only website affected. Hope I get an answer from SP soon Besides a picture of cash, here's what I get when try to get to SP from my desktop or laptop: Unfortunately, SurveyPolice.com is not available in your area Want to take online surveys? Online surveys are a great way to voice your opinions and get paid for them. Market research companies are constantly looking for people to take studies that they have available on a variety of different topics. If you're one of the many people out there interested in participating in market research, read on. How do online surveys work? Before participating in survey taking, you should have a general idea as to how it works. Basically, companies and various organizations have some questions they want answered by consumers. These could be things like, "which of our products do our customers like best?", or, "why isn't anybody interested in our new service?" To answer these questions, these companies hire market research companies who perform a professional analysis in order come up with answers. These market research companies need to poll a group of people in order to answer the questions companies have. To do this, they will ask people to join their survey panel (or database of survey takers) who will participate in answering these questions in exchange for some form of compensation. By joining one of these panels, you become part of this database of individuals who have agreed to be contacted for polling opportunities. How do I participate? The first step is to join legitimate survey websites (or survey panels, as they are called). To join, simply fill in your information on the registration form and wait to be e-mailed your first surveys. Each survey invitation you will be sent will state the topic of the survey, the reward offer for completing it, the approximate length of time it will take you to complete it, as well as a link to the survey itself. Simply click on the link to a survey, complete it, and your account will be credited in the amount offered in exchange for your participation. NevadaJones
Haven't had any issues logging in here, but there are times when the site is painfully slow loading, especially after logging in and waiting for the forums to show. Can take five minutes or more. And yesterday it took several tries and nearly 15 minutes to post.

schludermann
I've seen variations on this. When I was working AppleCare I got calls that shared characteristics. Little Old Ladies from Pasadena reported that what they thought was porn was randomly loading on the computer. I didn't ask for descriptions, nor did I offer to do screen sharing. But after checking settings I was able to determine that their DNS (Domain Name Server), the ISP internet service that has vast translation table to convert the domain names we type in and covert to a numerical values network hardware uses. If your DNS is changed maliciously not only may you see salacious adds but your computer may appear to be entering the internet from the locale of the DNS hijackers. Your ISP will have these numbers on the trouble shooting pages and there is a section of your confuser network settings. They should match closely. If they don't contact your ISP. . I use Google Public DNS. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Public_DNS
