Yeah, here I go complaining again! I just get so aggravated over these survey sites. Anyway, there are a couple of things that made my blood pressure go up a little. First are survey sites that have one of those stupid open ended questions that have nothing to do with the survey. An example is "Describe how you budget..." InnovateMR is notorious for these, and I absolutely hate them. I normally answer something to the effect that the question is not relevant to the survey and I refuse to answer. Normally, I can get by saying this and it moves on to the real survey. Other sites do them to, and it seemed like every survey I hit on today had that. And not one of them let me move on to the rest of the survey. So being petty and all, I decided to just write two words. I think you all can use your imaginations and guess what those words were. I was getting disqualified anyway, so I figured I might as well have some fun and break the monotony. The second thing that has been annoying me is several of the surveys I tried today had those questions as to what I do for a living. Since I'm completely retired, I pick retired. But nooooo, these survey sites today did not have that nor "I don't work" or "unemployed" as a choice. Then they want to know the revenue of the company I'm employed in, even though I did manage to select "other" and type in RETIRED in all caps. So these tone deaf survey sites think that someone who works in a company with half a billion dollars in revenue is gonna take a survey worth $1.34! No. They are delusional at best and booger eating morons at the worst thinking CEO's of large companies are filling these things out. I think it's totally ludicrous. What a bunch of idiots. So I'm going to make a nice cup of coffee and move on to my online Spanish lesson.8 points

Have to say I'm impressed with the Paidviewpoint customer service...I was trying to do a survey today from them & the survey kept crashing at a certain point in the survey & I contacted them via email & within a few minutes they got back to me & credited me the amount that the survey was for & closed the survey...not many companies are like that's what all customer service should be like via an surveys online or via an app... Two thumbs up from me Green7 points

Hi- I was wondering if anybody here told them that you make $100,000 a year, when all you really make is $30,000 when you do a $.50 survey? There is no way that somebody that truly makes $100,000 a year, would waste their time with a $.50 survey. If somebody does lie, then the data isn't reliable. The same goes with lying about your age or the fact that you have children when you don't.6 points

For the amount of time it takes to do surveys it isn't worth it anymore. Everything and I mean literally everything has gone up in price except the pay. As for me I only do a few surveys and I'm thinking of quitting those. Same pay from 5 years ago isn't fair or right, not one of those companies would ever do a survey for the pay they give.6 points
-
Yeah, I especially love when I get asked that question, 5 minutes into a survey, then getting screened out, when they know that I don't have any kids, because I already told them that I don't have any kids. Though really, it also just bugs me that any survey writers think we're going to go out and ask any other person to take their survey. Like, random Prolific survey requesters, you really think I'm going to ask a random coworker to do a 10 minute survey so I can get paid, or even funnier, my boss?!6 points

I really dislike routers and would avoid them if at all possible. The panels know they have routers, just apprise the panelist or add it as an exclusion to the presented surveys. However, panels prefer to inflated expectations and present a lot of irrelevant opportunities. They should just use the profile you create. Instead they use time wasting survey routers. This leads to very high rejection rate, and in a way they hide the degree from the panelist. They can use survey routers to mask just bad it is. A survey router is a string of survey testing. Meaning you may be asked the same screening question, back-to-back for a dozen different survey clients, that have nothing to do with your profile. This can waste a good portion of an hour. The survey router masks how poorly the panel is at providing relevant opportunities, there's only one rejection, and not a dozen. This leads to very high rejection rate, poor progression to rewards redemption and abandonment of unrecoverable rewards. This is actually a strategy to get work for free, a few surveys are completed and progression stagnates, by not having to reward, by cumulative discouragement. In other words, The panel has implemented a barrier to redemption. Not a very good community to be part of.6 points

J.D. Power surveys have survey-takers spending a huge amount of time completing one of its surveys and when a survey-taker clicks the "Submit" button, no payment. Best to skip J.D. Power surveys that gather all your hard work, and then, give you nothing for your efforts.6 points

There are too many questions of the types on surveys that I mentioned in the title of this thread. I now answer them with this: " It's crackers to slip the rozzer the dropsky in snide". Source of that gibberish.......Mad Magazine, from a long, long time ago.6 points

I think about this all the time. I just can't wrap my head around these survey panels and how they treat us survey takers. Loyalty is not rewarded at all. In fact, survey panels don't seem to want long time survey takers on their panels. They get rid of people for absolutely no reason at all, and they don't even have to tell the survey taker why. I think that stinks. Survey panels gaslight, bully, treat survey takers like crap, and use 'bots to wear people down so they don't persist when they have a legitimate complaint. When humans do reply to emails and that, it is usually snarky, disrespectful and dismissive of the survey taker's query or complaint. If regular companies did business like this, they would lose many customers and possibly go out of business. Some survey panels are downright breaking the law, actually stealing money from panelists when they kick them out with no warning and no chance to cash out on the remaining points they have. Now I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. I'm well aware that we survey takers are not the panelists customers. Their customers are the multimillion dollar companies who pick a survey panel to get all kinds of information so that they can do effective marketing of their products and/or services. I have no problem with that. Companies need to find out from the average Joe what they think so they can do better and stay in business. Surveys are a great way for companies to get the pulse on who is buying their products and/or services. Having said this, I still think that the way survey panels treat their survey takers is terrible, and at times, downright criminal. I believe that survey takers are independent contractors, not employees, getting a little money by signing up with survey panels and giving their honest well thought out opinions. The vast majority of survey takers are honest and caring. There are a few bad apples, and of course, the 'bots making things hard on the honest ones. That's life. But I have a huge problem with the lack of respect and loyalty these survey panels show to those of us who take their surveys. There are no laws on the books, whether state or federal, that clamp down on all the bad things these survey panels do. And there aren't enough of us to get someone to lobby on our behalf. There is no clout in this. I've had reactions from friends of mine who are surprised at how little money one makes doing surveys. But it's kind of nice to sit at home where I can choose if and when I want to work, and make a little money on the side. It takes awhile, but it does add up. But I'm down to basically two survey panels because I'm sick and tired of being treated like crap, having my time wasted, and getting only pennies. Prolific and Paid Viewpoint don't screen out their panelists. I feel like I'm wasting time on all the other ones. But as long as there are people who are willing to do a 30 minute survey for 10 cents and get treated like crap, these survey panels will just keep on doing what they're doing. I have a feeling that I'm not the only one who feels like this. I think many people have just stopped doing surveys altogether. But the survey panels don't care. Many of them are making a ton of money. How do you all feel about this?6 points

I started doing surveys again after taking about a 3 month break (which actually felt great). I was able to finish one survey and then got DQ'd from 5 in a row. I had to laugh because the last one that DQ'd me asked me how many employees are at my business. I have a small business and so I chose "less than 1000." I was kicked back to Survey Junkie who told me I don't qualify. Are there really CEOs of companies that have tens of thousands (or even hundreds of thousands) of employees who spend their time taking these surveys? I can't imagine there are very many...6 points

Oh I hate seeing that question. I always say that 'my single biggest headache with technology is having to answer this question for a survey.'6 points

Why can't survey sites be honest from the get go? 95% of the time surveys are MUCH longer than indicated. Do they want to lure us in and then tell us a 5 minute survey is 28 minutes?? I back out of this ploy over and over again. Wish they wouldn't waste our time. And sometimes it takes five minutes to see if we qualify for a supposedly five minute survey. In five more minutes we are told we don't qualify! (I won't even mention all the times that you finish a survey and then you are told that you don't qualify after the fact!. Well, I just mentioned it, sorry!) Why are we even getting surveys that we don't qualify for all the time anyway?? We fill out the profile. If we don't qualify, don't send it! Bottom line, be honest with us from the start, survey sites. If a survey is 30 minutes long don't say it is 5 minutes! AND if we don't qualify, don't send us the survey in the first place! (PS Steam is coming out of my ears right now!)6 points

I just finished a survey by Get Wizer wherein there was a question "Who is the decision maker for the company's site?" I gave a reasonable answer "The vice president of information technology." But that was rejected!!!! The mutants then said "Use only letters." I then typed in gibberish, as such: QWERT ASDFG ZXCVB. And that was accepted!!!!! I then got paid. That whole thing only strengthened my belief that the writers of 99% of all surveys belong in straitjackets, and in locked cages as well!!!!!5 points

Honestly why fix something that wasn't broken?? I'm lost as to trying to figure out how to access each of the daily surveys now..there's more crap on the home page now than ever before & my eyes are all over the place looking at what to do..You've got "hot surveys" which are exactly the same as the "earn rewards live" surveys..you've got something called Tellwut Social which makes no sense to me since it's exactly the same place where you'd find daily surveys...there's too much blue all over the home page now...the page in my opinion looks cluttered & I don't find this any better than before nor are the rewards per survey any better & I find I still don't qualify for most of the earn rewards live surveys anyways..5 points

I spent time in Aug'22 experimenting surveys on several survey sites, And I have observed a systemic ageism bias of the qualifying questions of most of the surveys I am offered I'm a 70+ Senior proud of not being a "standard senior" per current societal grids. I may have retired at 70 from a 5 decades successful career - ("mandatory retirement" (sic) - I have not "retired" from Life. On these survey sites, I prefer to define myself as a "home-based self-employed solopreneur, owner of a hosted website and author of its contents". Discriminating out Seniors from they surveys, these Survey panels looses valuable insights that would enrich the holistic perspectives of whatever is being surveyed. I challenge these survey sites to reformulate their qualifying questions to be more inclusive of Seniors. Seniors are also consumers and user of everything that is being surveyed. Businesses offering theses, should be as attentive of their Senior customers as they are of the Millenials Chiche !5 points

I get "Unfortunately we were unable to record your participation." and "This may be due to the fact that you already participated in this opportunity or there was a suspected violation of our terms and conditions. You will be redirected to your panel platform." from time to time. I just simply ignore that babbling and go elsewhere. BTW, all of that adds strongly to my belief that most if not all of the survey writers are actually severely mentally deranged.5 points

So many companies are only interested in younger people as they assume that they buy so much more in the way of consumer goods. Sad as it may be, they are primarily the target audience so older folks just don't qualify to take so many surveys. The older American is not cherished and revered and the wisdom that comes with age is not respected as it is in other countries. Survey companies do themselves a real disservice by eliminating older Americans from so many surveys. But unfortunately that is the way it is.5 points

They are an offshoot from Mechanical Turk. I believe they are still taking participants. I already racked up close to $8.00 with them when I joined at the beginning of the summer. They only allow cash out via Paypal and the minimum to cash out is only $1.00. I decided to wait until I rack up some more money before attempting to cash out. They started off very slow and I hardly received any email survey invites. However, now I am receiving one at least 1 -2 times per week. The pay is much better than Turk too. I average 50 cents to 80 cents per survey. Just about EVERY survey must be taken on a laptop or PC though. Most surveys are short (5 - 6 minutes). Here is the general link to their Sign up page. Please note is is much easier to sign up on a laptop. Don't try doing it on your phone. https://www.cloudresearch.com/products/connect-for-participants/5 points

I know most of my posts on here have been rants. But this one is a rave! Anyway, the number of surveys I can find on any survey site have gone way down for me over the summer. Even sites like Prolific have dried up. But lately, I have been getting surveys daily on Qmee. I have the app. I average $2-$3 a day on there. They have so many surveys, and new ones pop up every few minutes. Ironically enough, this is my biggest money maker now. And I can cash out any amount and get the money in my PayPal account quickly. Today, I made over $3.00 and that was in about 25 minutes.5 points

I know I get lots of surveys that ask me also how many employees are in my company, and its annual budget and my title in the company, when I am retired. I just usually say one employee and other job. I think a lot of people that are doing surveys are either on disability or are retired.5 points

I'm filing a complaint with state Consumer Protections in Georgia against YourSurveys. If you feel like you have been unfairly disqualified from surveys with no explanation through YourSurveys and they owe you points...please respond to this post. I'm willing to go to battle with this company on your behalf. Proof of help tickets your may have submitted etc... will be a big help!5 points

I am just so sick and tired of completing a survey and then not getting credit for its completion. After I've wasted my time taking the survey it infuriates me to get the message " We are sorry, but you don't qualify" or " We've reached our quota", or better yet " This survey is now closed." This has been happening to me much more now than in the past and it's infuriating. I hate wasting my time. Besides I sometimes think this message pops up because they don't want to pay yet they want to use the info you've given them. Thanks for listening to my vent. Anyone else experiencing this frustration now more than ever??5 points

A few weeks ago all of the surveys on my Qmee dashboard suddenly disappeared while I was perusing them. Also, I couldn't cash out. I knew I hadn't done anything wrong so I assumed it was an issue on Qmee's end and hoped it wasn't a ban for nothing, as often happens places. Finally contacted support. They replied within hours and passed along the fix for the problem (which was on my end) within 24 hours. I know customer support at these sites is often terrible or nonexistent, but I just wanted to recognize exceptional support in this case. And, no, this was not a paid endorsement.5 points

Know what you mean. The incentives have not kept up with wage rates or inflation. Still making the same amount as 10 years ago. Being retired , I do have the time. But , it would be nice if the rates were more in line with current wages. $5 - $6 for an hour is not right.4 points

I tried to do a ton of surveys on Clear Voice, and all I made in over an hour was $.30. Most of the surveys were from Your Survey, and I often answered the same questions. It was really frustrating. Yesterday there were few surveys, and I was only eligible for one $.50 survey on Lifepoints. I did get an email today from Fieldwork Chicago though about a market research study that I may be eligible for that pays $575.4 points

This is a type of undisclosed omnibus router. The heartless bastards have a change of heart deep into a survey that you really didn't qualify and give us another survey instead of promised consolation points for survey termination. If the survey is positioned as an omnibus and I agree, I don't gripe, unless the survey becomes really long. This way to save pennies worth of points for the survey panel on each panelist, multiplied by hundreds to thousands of panelists, and the employees can afford to get a latte at Starbucks. This is a little bit common. This can be a bit disconcerting when you're enjoying an in depth banking survey of the Fortune 500 banks and it unceremoniously changes to pizza toppings of the discount chain pizza wars. I've had this happen on IPSOS/i-Say, Honey, InnovateMR, Prolific, and others. YouGov does this too, but is transparent that it is going to happen, just not the number of changes. This change is often accompanied by significantly different URLs, AKA the web address, the page layouts and the look and feel of the questions.4 points

I had written to them (and posted here) about a pop-up saying I still have a survey pending so can't do the current survey I was clicking on. The survey still worked and I got credit for all of them so it was just some crazy glitch. It went away by itself, I didn't do anything. It works perfectly...no pop-ups this morning and I did 2 surveys. I also see that the format is the old one again (the copy and paste of or ID#). Still no cashout but that's fine, they told us over the weekend it would be suspended. I can't be sure but I somehow trust this company and don't think we will be cheated out of our money. Some disgruntled person posted that on Twitter. I doubt it, they are a reputable company, I think. I hope! I am sad that they are not taking new people. My friends tried and they have a waiting list. I love this company so much and want my friends to make money. I am curious how they let the people know...do you know anyone who got an email saying they can let them in now? Thanks4 points

I had five hundred points taken, but by the time Lifeless did the claw back, I had cashed out. So, My account is at -500 points. What probably happened is the client that Lifeless fielded the survey for was scrubbing the survey results and your responses were out of bounds, probably not wrong, just what they can't use. They didn't want to pay for your answers. Perchance, do you recall if it was a financial survey? I've had financial surveys scrubbed at Pointless clubs and American Consumer Opinion (ACOP).4 points

Yep, I had an incident with savanta once and was treated the same way. I'm serious about my surveys and answer homestly. So, when ever I always check the address bar to see which company has come up. and when I see savanta, I close the window. Savanta did not pass the ethics quality check.4 points

Has anyone else noticed how many surveys are available on Prolific now at any given time? This is probably the best survey site out there right now. At any given time, there are over 15 surveys available and many of them are shown to be less than 6 min long. Probably the best paying opportunity right now. I would log on and just do a couple at a time, but a person could just sit down and work on their surveys throughout the day and make some good extra cash. Most surveys on there come from Universities, so I am guessing they are playing catch up now from all the shutdowns. Check it out if you are looking for a good, legit survey site with a lot of survey opportunities.4 points

This looks like a shill. I dropped Toluna once they demonstrated how resolute they were on their forfeiture policy. The demonstrated it again when the shutdown a panel they had created, "Expert Outpost". They shut that panel down and members lost their stranded points. Toluna knows who I am, and bombs any survey fielded for them that I encounter. I suggest find a panel with ethics4 points
