I am sure we all got this email beginning with the following: "Just a few more days until PaidViewpoint’s rebrand takes place! Get ready for a fresh logo, updated colors, and a modernized design that'll make your experience even better." I believe in the expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" but that doesn't ever seem to be the case nowadays. All sites update and then we, as the user, have to get used to all the changes. For me most of the changes are totally unnecessary and just make it so much more difficult to navigate a site. Yes, we all eventually get used to the changes but more often than not, these changes are totally unnecessary. But this is JMHO. I really like PaidViewpoint and hope these changes are truly for the better. Am I the only one that feels "Leave well enough alone." ? Thanks for your input6 points

Been with them a few years and though I belong to about 4-5 other sites , this is the one I recommend to others. Today I received a personal email from them giving me Kudos for what they deemed an 'awesome response' I gave recently( can't remember what it was) so I got an extra 20 points. It's the thought that counts.. unlike the other sites who don't give a hoot how much though you put into responses that require detail. So Kudos PV too6 points

I hate them but worse are the captcha pictures. Click on all of the motorcycles. Do I click on the end of the back wheel which is also in a box? I guess not because they give me another one and on. and on. These are ridiculous. Of course I'm not a robot. They really insult our intelligence.6 points

I think the "survey cat" one is during the survey the cat pops up and lets you know you're doing great, just a few more questions the cat shows up a number of times and the survey is a political one where you answer the questions then have to review some videos at the end6 points

JD Power surveys.. especially when they kick you out before you begin!6 points

I am only doing surveys for the Amazon GCs. Because I have the gift cards, I am able to buy stuff that I would not be able to afford otherwise. I had to replace my computer printer, and I got an Epson ecoprinter which was $250. I love it, but if I did not have the gift cards, I would not spend that much on a printer. I have had it for a year, and I have not had to replace the ink yet. With my old printer I was always replacing the ink. I also spent $500 on a stereo that I bought on Amazon with my gift cards.6 points

They've been getting worse for quite a while in my experience. Many of the images shown are grainy and difficult to make out.5 points

I just thought of a new superpower to put next time I see that one. The power to finish and be awarded by every survey I take no matter what.5 points
-
I know. I've lost count of how many times I had to describe the perfect day, vacation, pizza, or what ingredients I would use to build a taco. Or that one asking if you could have any superpower, what would it be?5 points
-
The superpower one is guaranteed to induce a groan and a sinking feeling from me.5 points

I don't like the Cloud Connect Surveys aka CloudResearch, The screener always asks you if you know the meaning of a bogus list of words or if you can remember all the names of every President in US history.5 points
-
I refer to it as supplemental income, not a job per se, as I don't see how you can make a living by taking surveys. It's more in the category of gigs and side hustles. I suppose you could call it being a paid "influencer".5 points

IRS announces delay in Form 1099-K reporting threshold for third party platform payments in 2023; plans for a threshold of $5,000 for 2024 to phase in implementation Changing it to $5,000 seems fair. The $600 was ridiculous IMHO.5 points

I've dealt well with picture captchas in the past, where you check off cars, fire hydrants or whatever to prove you are human. But as of late they have been impossible for me. The pictures are grainy, indistinct and more often than not they are very hard to see.. I've wasted as much as 10 minutes prior to being allowed to begin a survey. Sometimes they even switch me to a sound captcha where I write out what I hear. Very frustrating and a waste if time. This problem started out of the blue about a week ago. Anyone else experiencing this newest time-waster?5 points

After 7 years of doing surveys, I'm taking some time off from them. The dishonesty, babbling, repetition and insanity that pervades them finally overwhelmed me. It'll be at least several weeks before I start grappling with them again.5 points

JD Power surveys since you can't qualify for them 99% of the time, and in the rare times when you do, you typically get disqualified at some point in the survey. Also Datacollection based surveys for also being nearly impossible to qualify for, which is weird because 5 years ago they were highly reliable, but now they suck. I also hate pretty much any survey where you get asked an open-ended question that requires answering in sentences before you even qualify for the main survey...5 points
-
YES!!! I HATE the surveys that ask you to tell them what superpower you would have and why. I always just exit out. AND the credit card surveys that take an hour to do. I've got no patience for that.5 points

Whenever a cint survey appears on my screen, I reject it immediately. I learned a long time ago that you can't do business with those psychopaths.5 points

i have been coming across more and more surveys that ask for your full name, address and phone number when you start the survey. and it is not for those that are sending you a product to test, just the start of a normal survey. i close out of those now when i see them. YouGov asks for that same information at the end of a survey which means you have spent time on that survey and then you have to give them all that info to continue. it's bad enough they can track me by my IP address but now want my home address????4 points

Or the one that wants your opinion of a bunch of companies that have maybe two in the list that I've even heard of. Then they ask you to rate each one in 20 different things, like how they treat their employees and how well they conserve energy. How should I know, I never heard of the place? Got something new just now. The survey warned against using A.I. to answer.4 points

I told them I would give them a Rave becsue they always get back to me when I have an issue like not getiing my points from completing a survey. I do not contact them each time it happens.4 points

I have been with PrizeRebel for about a year now, and qualify for roughly 1 in 50 surveys. Anyone else find this site hard to qualify for surveys?4 points
-
As others have mentioned, I think this was a mistake and you were not supposed to see this. I've had similar messages within surveys, making no sense, am sure those are in error too.4 points

Lots of time is wasted. I am retired but still feel my time is worth something.4 points

Would have selected "2" since that is the same position in the alphabet as "B". Worst that could happen is a DQ.4 points

I love the cat surveys. They usually take under ten mins and so far I've always qualified and been rewarded. It's the only survey I trust I'll get paid. If it's a movie survey I put my age as 4 instead of 45 and dq.4 points

To my surprise, early this morning, even before getting out of bed, I qualified for a JDPower survey and earned 120 points!! subject was on banking.. took about 20-30 minutes..Positive way to start a Monday..Be still my beating heart-4 points

I take alot of the ERL surveys on Tellwut & get dq'd more than anything but was thinking maybe Tellwut should offer up 5 points if you go to complete a survey & get dq'd for it..it's not much but it does take quite awhile to get to the 4000 point range & I've noticed a few other sites that I belong to have begun to give out 5 points if you don't qualify for a survey..Would you like to see Tellwut add this into their site?? Even if they cap it at say 100 points per week on dq'd external surveys at least it's something Green4 points

I am definitely not comfortable giving out that information who knows where that picture could end up on the internet I don't trust any of the survey companies with that stuff.4 points
-
Quite normal. Surveys are dependent on how many responses the originator needs. Some require way less than others and simply fill up in a matter of a minutes. The only quibble I have at PV is with ones that you start and are near completion only to receive the message that the early birds got it. If you start a survey , that should qualify one to finish it.4 points
-
This has been happening to me a lot lately as well, with the early bird notification when you log in immediately after receiving an email notification. I log in 3 or 4 times a day and there are surveys waiting for me about 50% of the time. So I still have plenty of surveys to take and I love PaidViewpoint.4 points

It goes back to who the heck makes these surveys and do they get checked by a supervisor? Doesn't seem so4 points

Any survey with excessive bubble formats, each a page long spreadsheet of answers for every brand of company being reviewed. It's not only that they are long and tedious but so many of them are just idiotic to the point they're irrelevant.4 points

I have gotten that from time to time. It means that the thieves got the info they wanted & don't want to pay you.4 points

I am really good at math, and I believe the answer is 5. There is a survey I did maybe six months ago that involved a lot of math. I was able to complete it, but even I was exhausted after completing it. Somebody else here that did the survey was overwhelmed because his math skills are not as good as mine. A lot of people would not know the answer, and yes it is algebra.4 points

Getting less and less for the work but I am retired so it keeps me busy and I get gift cards for gifts. I can understand for those who have jobs not to do as much.4 points

Same here.. after they get the info they want they screen you out..4 points

There used to be a survey site with something called "funnel" surveys. It was a never ending experience in survey hell where you get routed from one survey to another until you "qualify". I never trust the ones where it starts off with the main survey panel and then routes you into four or five different survey panels, only to not qualify after going through so many screening questions.4 points

After taking a close look and performing an audit of your account, we have found evidence that you have violated the LifePoints Terms and Conditions, which has resulted in your membership being deactivated and the LifePoints (LPs) you collected have been forfeited. What an "canned response" it's just a way to get rid of members & not have to pay out any rewards..I didn't violate anything other than taking part in some of the most pointless surveys on their site that seem to repeat over & over again...Anyone who's thinking of joining this survey company don't..as you can see they can do this do long term members for no given reason at all since they can't prove whatever they say I "violated"...anyone with alot of reward points I suggest cashing out now before you become the next "violation" of LifePoints4 points

Those used to come up often and if it is a movie/TV show then STAY AWAY. You will watch the entire show and then DQ or it will get about 75% - 95% done and freeze.4 points

This was by far the best part of your post! I can totally relate. Some of the longer more tedious surveys can really wear you down. Like those ones with all the rows of radio buttons. Sometimes I have to just get up and walk away for a bit...but not too long or they'll screen you out. Unfortunately, the pattern you have been seeing with the decline in pay and survey quality I have been aware of too. I started in 2016 and it's pretty much gone downhill. I've lost count of all the ones that have come and gone. Some I signed up with again and it was great for awhile, but then it collapses again. I'm down to just a handful of survey sites, it's gotten so bad. I'm really sorry to hear you are leaving the survey world, but I don't blame you. Recently, I've been dabbling more into user testing panels. So far it seems more promising and the compensation pays better than surveys. I look at it as another form of supplemental income.4 points
