  1. Today. Received good amount of credit ..noticed when I logged on to the site. Resolved

  2. i have been coming across more and more surveys that ask for your full name, address and phone number when you start the survey. and it is not for those that are sending you a product to test, just the start of a normal survey. i close out of those now when i see them. YouGov asks for that same information at the end of a survey which means you have spent time on that survey and then you have to give them all that info to continue. it's bad enough they can track me by my IP address but now want my home address????

  3. I agree it's nothing like it used to be

  4. Paid Viewpoints is really good once you get your trait score raised to 10,000. Until then you get a lot of $.10 surveys. I think yougov is good too, and Clear Voice. Survey Police also has a list of the best survey sites every year.

  5. Or the one that wants your opinion of a bunch of companies that have maybe two in the list that I've even heard of. Then they ask you to rate each one in 20 different things, like how they treat their employees and how well they conserve energy. How should I know, I never heard of the place? Got something new just now. The survey warned against using A.I. to answer.

  6. I told them I would give them a Rave becsue they always get back to me when I have an issue like not getiing my points from completing a survey. I do not contact them each time it happens.

  7. As others have mentioned, I think this was a mistake and you were not supposed to see this. I've had similar messages within surveys, making no sense, am sure those are in error too.

  8. I made a ticket help a third time and I was told that a developer will take a look. Two days later, that is now, my balance is back. So are the surveys !

  9. I've had a goodly number of surveys the last week or so and cashed out again yesterday.

  10. Often they will tell you at the beginning 'this survey will take 10 minutes ' then they get you on what I call the 'survey go round' as you don't qualify after 10 minutes and then it's on to the next and the next..without a penny

  11. I got that question this morning too.. of course I was kicked off. If I had the money to spend 1000 dollars on a handbag, I wouldn't need to do these nonsensical surveys and they are becoming more non nonsensical and redundant by the day. They can't think of anything new.

  12. Got that last week. Don't know anyone who would be interested either. Besides Pinecone is at present nothing more than a shadow of its old self and I'd never recommend them. Sorry to be so harsh but I truly believe this to be true.

  13. Just got the following: 1) Do you have any pets? None That was the ONLY choice. I have 2 dogs but since I had no choice but None I clicked on None and got the following: "We are sorry but you do not qualify as we are looking for pet owners" Go figure!

  14. I have also had that before Another one is How many children do you have Answer none Survey How old are your children

  15. i get many that give you a list to chose from, but there is no NONE OF THE ABOVE. you either pick something that is not applicable to you or just x out of the survey.

  16. I just did a few surveys on Paid Viewpoint. I had problems with one of the surveys loading, and when I tried to move on to another survey, it told me I had to complete the other survey. I also had a survey that probably took me 15 minutes to complete. I had to give my opinion on a new product, and I think I only got $.30 for it. I did four surveys though.

  17. I despise the survey where you are asked if you buy this and that. It's supposed to take 10 or 15 minutes to complete the survey. But if you REALLY answer all the questions it can take up to an hour or more. Next step, they give you a list of every store in the universe that might or might not sell each and every product you mentioned that you bought. You are supposed to check off all rhe stores where you boughr the product. Screen after screen asks you the same thing for every product you said you bought. I never take these surveys. a big, boring waste of time.

  18. I liked the site the way it was before..simple & plain...why rebrand & make it all fancy & there's nothing new for the members?? Oh wait you can change the look of the site from day to night...

  19. I figure it's there to cover them for everything short of the International Space Station falling on them and to screw us the survey taker. I tried reading it once and found it's a total screw job. No more reading for me, they're gonna do what they're gonna do....

  21. I've seen something like that a couple of times in the middle of a survey, but they weren't nearly as understandable as yours. I assumed it was shown by mistake.

  22. Haven't had it at the end , but have seen it at the start a number of times.

  23. I have gotten that many times.. in fact, yesterday after completing a long survey it did what you described to me and I didn't get any credit. I contacted them.. Have not heard back and they are usually very quick about it- Have to say, now making the site over has caused problems we haven't experienced before..If If it don't work, fix it

  24. Has anyone gotten a survey from Focus Forward on weight loss, maybe 2 like I did, proceed to answer 20 plus minutes of questions to be told at the end that the required number of responses have already been reached? What a bunch of deceitful miners! How likely is Focus Forward to delete my data since it wasn't needed? Of course not. These snakes have a way of mining our time and data and then refusing to pay and they know we have no way of knowing if their denial is valid or not. I used to have respect for Focus Forward but no longer. I bet they only needed a small number of people's answers but let countless users go ahead and respond. If you don't know or use this group, don't bother.

  25. I get it alot especially on one site.. and it's even before I have responded to a question..

  26. I have seen one survey company (can't remember which one) who warms before you start that if they reach the required number of respondents before you finish, you won't get credit, but for the most part, I think it's a way to get info without ponying up the rewards. If it makes you feel any better, this seems to happen far less often than it did when I took surveys 15 years ago. I'd finish one in 20, maybe, and always get kicked off at the end. It's why I quit taking them back then.

  27. I've gotten that "employed full time" nonsense several times. If they are only looking for people who are employed full time, that's a pretty lame way to do it.

  28. Hope I am not jinxing myself by stating this but I want to give a favorable shout out to Prime Opinion for their response to queries regarding error glitches on surveys. Example being when I finished one that was quite extensive and it didn't revert back to the home page, I took a screen shot and messaged PO. They got back to be quickly and credited me and were very polite.

  29. So, in short, Pinecone isn't worth trying?

  30. Same thing happened to me the 1st time I cashed out with the new site. Thought they had done away with all but Paypal. But , after verifying Paypal , the gift cards (codes) options were there. So , verify the Paypal account and you will be good to go.

  31. So do I. I don't choose long surveys deliberately because I've spent too much time on them only to get DQ'd at the end, so I'd rather stick to the shorter ones. I suspect it's because many screeners bounce you around. One screener I get a lot says "we're finding you a survey." What about the one I clicked on in the first place? If it's full or whatever, bounce me out and let me find my own substitute.

  32. Hi Sandy21, I am a brand new member of Survey Police and am enjoying your very generous contributions here. I am amazed at the sinking level of customer service (to survey takers, and more generally customers, job applicants, ad nauseum.) in business life in general It seems that with a very basic investment and a little thought, so much goodwill could be returned. It is epidemic. Best to you, MM

  33. I get at least one of those a week. Yesterday, after I said I was retired, they asked what field of work I'm in, and there was no None of the above.

  34. I've logged in and taken surveys without email invitations. I barely get any email invitations nowadays. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are saying here.

  35. i see that one all the time too. you select the stores you know, and then it says how much did you spend in a store that you nver heard of !

  37. It really is a difficult journey to begin but if you check out the top survey sites here on SP you will find the right ones for you. Depending on your demographics, certain sites may be better for you than others. Best of luck!

  38. I had a survey about sustainable food/farming tonight for 15 minutes & 30 points. After about a half hour (already). I wasn't even halfway thru the survey. I closed it out. Wasting time frustrates me to no end. And the survey cat survey I took now has 4 videos to watch and the videos are getting longer. I feel like I'm watching the evening news bc it's so long. What happened to watching just political ads? GRRR

  40. the verification step .. one of those minor delays..

  41. I had to do the same thing and get a code to sign in the first time, but I've been able to go in through the day without signing in again. I do have to click a verification to prove I'm human every time, though. A bit of a bother. I liked it the old way. I tend to resist change. lol

  42. I'm glad you did. People are always quick to complain, but it's really rare for someone to express some appreciation for something good, especially online.

  43. I don't read them either but I look for the general idea of the study...if I see I have to talk with another person or play a game, I opt out. Sometimes that's in the mile long blurb. I always wondered if other people read this stuff...WAY too long!
    2 points
  44. Definitely the latter. They're pulling from a database that hasn't been maintained in aeons, because maintenance costs money, and having a buggy survey doesn't. It always makes me sad seeing Fresh & Easy in lists - they were one of my favorite grocery stores, until they went out of business like a decade ago.

  45. I see Wieboldt's listed as well. It was closed in 1987 and I'm surprised it lasted that long. I went there as a very little kid in the early 60s. I think these are just trick questions to weed out the non-serious survey takers.

  46. They have Daytons in some surveys and they have been gone from Minnesota for years. They were the top department store for years.

  47. Never saw that 'ditty' before. I think we need to create one for Them too.. because they also have gibberish
    2 points
  48. Once in a blue moon I'll see similar "testing" text during a survey, presumably because of a glitch since survey takers aren't supposed to see that information. However it's mostly gibberish that I don't fully understand, not quite as concise and neat as what you posted.
    2 points
  49. I read it mostly, unless it's one of those REALLY long ones. Fortunately, I end up with many of the same companies over and over so I haven't had to read one for a couple of months. And yeah, they have to post that stuff by law, but it is written to protect THEM.
