  1. I'd call it a profitable and sometimes painful hobby.

  2. I am sure we all got this email beginning with the following: "Just a few more days until PaidViewpoint’s rebrand takes place! Get ready for a fresh logo, updated colors, and a modernized design that'll make your experience even better." I believe in the expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" but that doesn't ever seem to be the case nowadays. All sites update and then we, as the user, have to get used to all the changes. For me most of the changes are totally unnecessary and just make it so much more difficult to navigate a site. Yes, we all eventually get used to the changes but more often than not, these changes are totally unnecessary. But this is JMHO. I really like PaidViewpoint and hope these changes are truly for the better. Am I the only one that feels "Leave well enough alone." ? Thanks for your input

  3. Been with them a few years and though I belong to about 4-5 other sites , this is the one I recommend to others. Today I received a personal email from them giving me Kudos for what they deemed an 'awesome response' I gave recently( can't remember what it was) so I got an extra 20 points. It's the thought that counts.. unlike the other sites who don't give a hoot how much though you put into responses that require detail. So Kudos PV too

  4. I hate them but worse are the captcha pictures. Click on all of the motorcycles. Do I click on the end of the back wheel which is also in a box? I guess not because they give me another one and on. and on. These are ridiculous. Of course I'm not a robot. They really insult our intelligence.

  5. I think the "survey cat" one is during the survey the cat pops up and lets you know you're doing great, just a few more questions the cat shows up a number of times and the survey is a political one where you answer the questions then have to review some videos at the end

  6. JD Power surveys.. especially when they kick you out before you begin!

  7. I am only doing surveys for the Amazon GCs. Because I have the gift cards, I am able to buy stuff that I would not be able to afford otherwise. I had to replace my computer printer, and I got an Epson ecoprinter which was $250. I love it, but if I did not have the gift cards, I would not spend that much on a printer. I have had it for a year, and I have not had to replace the ink yet. With my old printer I was always replacing the ink. I also spent $500 on a stereo that I bought on Amazon with my gift cards.

  9. I just thought of a new superpower to put next time I see that one. The power to finish and be awarded by every survey I take no matter what.
    5 points
  10. I know. I've lost count of how many times I had to describe the perfect day, vacation, pizza, or what ingredients I would use to build a taco. Or that one asking if you could have any superpower, what would it be?
    5 points
  11. The superpower one is guaranteed to induce a groan and a sinking feeling from me.

  12. I don't like the Cloud Connect Surveys aka CloudResearch, The screener always asks you if you know the meaning of a bogus list of words or if you can remember all the names of every President in US history.

  13. I refer to it as supplemental income, not a job per se, as I don't see how you can make a living by taking surveys. It's more in the category of gigs and side hustles. I suppose you could call it being a paid "influencer".

  14. IRS announces delay in Form 1099-K reporting threshold for third party platform payments in 2023; plans for a threshold of $5,000 for 2024 to phase in implementation Changing it to $5,000 seems fair. The $600 was ridiculous IMHO.

  15. I've dealt well with picture captchas in the past, where you check off cars, fire hydrants or whatever to prove you are human. But as of late they have been impossible for me. The pictures are grainy, indistinct and more often than not they are very hard to see.. I've wasted as much as 10 minutes prior to being allowed to begin a survey. Sometimes they even switch me to a sound captcha where I write out what I hear. Very frustrating and a waste if time. This problem started out of the blue about a week ago. Anyone else experiencing this newest time-waster?

  16. After 7 years of doing surveys, I'm taking some time off from them. The dishonesty, babbling, repetition and insanity that pervades them finally overwhelmed me. It'll be at least several weeks before I start grappling with them again.

  17. JD Power surveys since you can't qualify for them 99% of the time, and in the rare times when you do, you typically get disqualified at some point in the survey. Also Datacollection based surveys for also being nearly impossible to qualify for, which is weird because 5 years ago they were highly reliable, but now they suck. I also hate pretty much any survey where you get asked an open-ended question that requires answering in sentences before you even qualify for the main survey...

  18. YES!!! I HATE the surveys that ask you to tell them what superpower you would have and why. I always just exit out. AND the credit card surveys that take an hour to do. I've got no patience for that.

  21. i have been coming across more and more surveys that ask for your full name, address and phone number when you start the survey. and it is not for those that are sending you a product to test, just the start of a normal survey. i close out of those now when i see them. YouGov asks for that same information at the end of a survey which means you have spent time on that survey and then you have to give them all that info to continue. it's bad enough they can track me by my IP address but now want my home address????

  22. Paid Viewpoints is really good once you get your trait score raised to 10,000. Until then you get a lot of $.10 surveys. I think yougov is good too, and Clear Voice. Survey Police also has a list of the best survey sites every year.

  23. Or the one that wants your opinion of a bunch of companies that have maybe two in the list that I've even heard of. Then they ask you to rate each one in 20 different things, like how they treat their employees and how well they conserve energy. How should I know, I never heard of the place? Got something new just now. The survey warned against using A.I. to answer.

  24. I told them I would give them a Rave becsue they always get back to me when I have an issue like not getiing my points from completing a survey. I do not contact them each time it happens.

  25. I have been with PrizeRebel for about a year now, and qualify for roughly 1 in 50 surveys. Anyone else find this site hard to qualify for surveys?

  26. As others have mentioned, I think this was a mistake and you were not supposed to see this. I've had similar messages within surveys, making no sense, am sure those are in error too.

  27. And recently I've been getting ones with very grainy pictures that could be almost anything.

  29. How about the ones in which you answer eight prescreen questions and a few from the survey, and then they finally say, "We are looking for married men age 40-55 who own their own business and have at least one underage mistress. If you or someone in your household quality, please have them take this survey." How about making that the first thing in the survey?

  30. I hate any survey that disqualify you in the middle or at the end of the survey, that's totally unfair.

  31. This just proves why political polls are biased. If they don't "like" your answers, they don't always include that data in the results.

  32. It this is a job, I cannot see making enough money to support myself. I would consider it like using coupons at the grocery store where I save a little. Years ago, I did keep track of my coupon savings and put the money aside for gifts. I will be interested in other opinions.

  33. I am exceedingly impressed with Tellwut Customer Support. I took a survey and joined a site for 1000 points almost two weeks ago. I never got the points so I contacted CS. They have gotten back to me without my prodding to let me know they are working on it, as the site must get back to them with a list of those who joined and are active members. I do hope I get the points asap. Time will tell. So CS in this particular instance really IS on top of the case and for me this is surely an exception to the rule for any site. Thank you Tellwut CS!

  35. We all post our problems and frustrations and that's fine, what this board is for. How about a change of pace for a change? Today I was taking a survey on beverages and I was asked which beverages I drink. I was given numerous choices, lots of trick possibilities thrown in to see if we are paying attention. Most trick choices are just plain stupid, but this particular choice actually made me laugh. The choice was toasted shoelace tea! The creator of this survey actually has a sense of humor. Have you ever seen toasted shoelace tea as a choice on a survey? It's a first for me.

  36. I take alot of the ERL surveys on Tellwut & get dq'd more than anything but was thinking maybe Tellwut should offer up 5 points if you go to complete a survey & get dq'd for it..it's not much but it does take quite awhile to get to the 4000 point range & I've noticed a few other sites that I belong to have begun to give out 5 points if you don't qualify for a survey..Would you like to see Tellwut add this into their site?? Even if they cap it at say 100 points per week on dq'd external surveys at least it's something Green

  37. I am definitely not comfortable giving out that information who knows where that picture could end up on the internet I don't trust any of the survey companies with that stuff.

  43. I hate iTraffic surveys too. They ask you open-ended text questions before they send you to the main survey, which is already annoying enough, but even qualifying for their surveys is rare in my experience. I also really hate Ipsosinteractive surveys. They're not just hard to qualify for and usually tedious, but they also tend to be misleading; I've lost count of how many times they've wasted 5 minutes of my time asking me questions, only for them to suddenly tell me that they want to use my webcam as part of the survey. And if you decline, the survey ends.

  44. I am really good at math, and I believe the answer is 5. There is a survey I did maybe six months ago that involved a lot of math. I was able to complete it, but even I was exhausted after completing it. Somebody else here that did the survey was overwhelmed because his math skills are not as good as mine. A lot of people would not know the answer, and yes it is algebra.

  47. I am just so sick of taking a survey and repeatedly getting : "The maximum number of responses for this group has been met." I always get that same response when I am just about finished taking the survey snd wasting my time. Think i got this canned response 5 times today. Anyone else?
    4 points
  48. is anyone else as sick of this as I am?? there has been times it repeats itself 3 times before you get into a survey or it disqualifies you. i wish surveys would have a 'comment' button so you could tell them what you think of their surveys which are inconsistent, riduculous, or inane...

  49. After taking a close look and performing an audit of your account, we have found evidence that you have violated the LifePoints Terms and Conditions, which has resulted in your membership being deactivated and the LifePoints (LPs) you collected have been forfeited. What an "canned response" it's just a way to get rid of members & not have to pay out any rewards..I didn't violate anything other than taking part in some of the most pointless surveys on their site that seem to repeat over & over again...Anyone who's thinking of joining this survey company don't..as you can see they can do this do long term members for no given reason at all since they can't prove whatever they say I "violated"...anyone with alot of reward points I suggest cashing out now before you become the next "violation" of LifePoints

  50. Those used to come up often and if it is a movie/TV show then STAY AWAY. You will watch the entire show and then DQ or it will get about 75% - 95% done and freeze.
