nj07208
I had received 2 Denny's gift cards thru E-rewards and when I went to redeem them I found they had $0 balances. I contacted E-rewards and they asked for the gift card numbers. Today I got an email saying for me to contact Denny's as their research showed the cards were loaded. I called Denny's and was told that the cards are showing as being key-redeemed (the numbers were keyed in as opposed to a card being slid thru the machine) on 1/25 in Commerce, CA. I went to use them in south Florida on 1/28. They are going to replace them. I have read many stories about this happening with online gift cards. I didn't realize these weren't e-gift cards. I won't be redeeming for anything that cannot be sent electronically again.

I'm not so sure it couldn't happen with the electronic ones either .It's been all over the news about bot's downloading numbers off of gift cards and redeeming them. They say as soon as you get a gift card to spend it even ones that you may have gotten years ago and you are sitting on can be picked up on.Just google bots and stealing gift cards it can help explain how to keep fraud down on both sides.Just glad they are willing to work with you so you can get what you worked to have .Hope you get to enjoy your meal! nj07208
And here I thought electronic ones would be safer! I'll be going as soon as I receive them.
