SuzanneES
I find a lot of surveys asking about heads of households, and I'm not sure what that means. When I do a search, I find that for tax purposes, it's someone unmarried. So does that mean if my husband and I are married, neither of us can be a head of household? Does that apply for online surveys too?
dimefynder
Anyone who contributes to paying the bills should probably feel free to self-identify as a head of household, when filling out surveys. Millions of households depend on more than one income, anyway. Not sure about overall definition regarding taxes, but the I.R.S. will generally allow only one deduction or credit (for example), in that regard Both spouses can't grab the full property tax deduction.
