I've noticed that sometimes they add new profile sections or new questions and they rarely send out notifications for this. Dont really plan to either, and it really hasnt ever stopped the emails for coming to my inbox. I have always thought of them as more or less a waste of time since I have to fill out all the demos for pretty much every survey. Perhaps they do help you get matched up with more surveys...or maybe not. But I prefer to think that if my profile is completed and I dont get matched to a survey, then I missed out on a survey because of my profile.
