2008 W-2s (US tax paperwork)

We should be getting W-2s from every site from which we earned more than $10, right? That's going to be an issue for me, at least, since I can't think of a single company that asked for my tax information. Uh oh.

Has anyone had any experience with this in the past?

I am not 100% sure. But I have been doing surveys for over 3 years and have earned much more than $10 a year "more than $10 a month for that matter" and have never once got a W2 or any tax form. I believe if you make under $5000 of earned income that you are not required to file, but again I am not 100% sure on the specifics. Your situation might be slightly different than mine but I would not worry too much unless its a really large amount.

I thought they would ask you for a w-9 not a w-2?

you have to report more than 600$ from any ONE company, not total.

I dont think you get a w-2 but a 1099 form, which is only asked if you make $600.00 or more per calneder year. I have already recieved mine from 2 companies. But have never got any from sites where I earn less than $600.00 a year.
