So.... everyone figured out Survey Spot's new scam yet?

Remember a couple weeks ago when they promised "bigger rewards" were coming?

True enough, they are suddenly sending out daily invitations for 100 points or better. Sounds good, right?

Or it would be, except the qualifications for such surveys are ridiculously narrow.

Hell, you can claim that you're offering 1,000,000 points. Whether anybody can actually get them, well that's the real question, isn't it?

100 points is $1 so they're not kidding anyone.. what I hate is when i see the 30 minute one for $1, but because i'm so valuable they're offering an extra $2.. but you never qualify for them.

I always click no thanks or close the window on their cheap and no pay surveys. I wonder if a lot of others did that also and that's why they said "A lot of points" for surveys now. Hah! They call that a lot of points, 8 cents, 15 cents, that's not a lot of points. I was surprised they offered me a survey for 400 points a few weeks ago. Maybe if we all stop doing the cheap surveys on all sites they'll stop keeping the money for themselves and pay us what we deserve. They need us to take surveys so they can make more money. And let's all complain to the sites that charge a fee to get our rewards.

When lowes had a survey panel through fgi they sent me a cheap survey that I refused to do, I guess everyone refused to do it because a month later they sent an invite to the same survey and said they'd raised the award to $25.00.

I think the companies pay them a lot of money to get the research results but they are so greedy that they keep most of it and offer us peanuts.

The problem with these survey companies is that there is no accountability.

Its not about the survey companies being cheap. All the CEO's- who are paid in the multimillions have to be paid and to afford those salaries they have to cut back somewhere. LOL Typical large company syndrome. I would love to see a break down of where the money goes and to see how much goes to staff and ceo

it's the problem with this country right now.. you can't input socialist principles on top of capitalism.. greedy company leaders that are in business to make a lot of money aren't going to hurt their profits for patriotism.. and we're seeing it in the job cuts etc.. or in cutting costs shipping jobs overseas (Detroit anyone?) anyone who has worked retail knows well how sales are monitored.. it's the main thing they focus on.. if sales are down the first thing they do is cut hours.. they start the week with a set amount of hours.. and if we're not busy, go home.. and it's always the lowest people to go home, to get laid off etc.. unless government takes over totally and we become China 2.0 this is how it's going to go in our economy.. people want their retirement accounts intact.. this is why companies who report to stockholders preserve their profits at all costs.. but no one wants the firings and layoffs they do to keep profits up.. you can't have both without hurting something.. protect the little people by sacrificing your 401k or the big people who fire the little people to keep profits.. we're doomed to repeat our past failure of never finding a balance between the two... the only solution is to take all the jobs back from overseas.. but people here don't want to A. work for less money, and B. pay more for items that require higher labor cost to produce. This country is becoming like bedroom communities that really do nothing but house people who go off to work elsewhere.. we produce little and aren't self sufficient as a nation as we used to be. We're the world's bedroom community..

Exactly! That's what I've been doing. I just posted on another thread here that I received an 14-minute, 8-point Surveyspot invitation in my inbox, and deleted it. I think if enough of us refuse to take the bait, they will be forced to raise the incentives to a more reasonable level.

I also agree about directly complaining to companies who charge us a fee to get our promised rewards--either by emailing them or posting public comments on their FB pages (or both--as I've done). Enough complaints and maybe they'll wake up and do what's right.

Geezus... the last survey I got from Survey spot was this endless survey about booze....

Ironically enough, I really needed a drink by the time I was done with that thing. Some of the questions though..... damn, I could go pull a group of the worst hardcore alcoholics imaginable out of every bar in town, and I'll bet none of them would love booze as much as who ever wrote that ridiculous thing expects you to.

If I were a 12 stepper, I'd be organzing protests against these guys for encouraging "personal relationships" with alcohol.

Thankfully it did bring me significantly closer to the day that I can dump Survey Spot for good, so I guess something positive came out of it.

I can't believe they are offering $0.08 for a full survey. :| That's simply incredible. I guess everyone just skips these? I don't see how a person could sit there and take a survey for that piddly amount. But then if you're skipping lots of surveys because of low incentives, how do you ever get to cashout?

With apologies to Dr. King (though he would probably agree if he saw the site).....

Free at last, Free at last

Thank God Almighty, I'm free at last

Good bye Survey Spot...... and good riddance!

I put SS in my rear view mirror long ago. Sadly, they were an outstanding survey company for years then they morphed into unscrupulous scum. Happily, they are no longer my concern.
