I am actually getting really fed up with surveys (90% of them out there)that don't let you choose "all that apply" or offer a choice of "mixed" when they ask for an ethnicity demographic. It is the best response I can give from what my cultural standpoint is - and there may be some statistical relevance that can be used from providing this information accurately instead of choosing OTHER.

This is a real irritation for me because I feel that sometimes I get bumped for not being the right demo, even though I probably do represent. If they are going to ask me which group I identify with most closely, they need to provide a context, as I am sure that certain values from different parents are in play depending on the topic at hand.

How to deal with this other than exasperated comments at the end of surveys that ask?
