internet_ninja
Hi Guys, Are there ways I can verify paid surveys companies and know if they are legit?
Vipercat
Do a search on them with a major search engine such as google and look at the results of web pages that are NOT the companies own web sites "of course they would say good things about themselves" you can also search for them on the Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org , Ripoff Report http://www.ripoffreport.com , and of course SurveyPolice has a listing and ratings of known survey sites at http://www.surveypolice.com , sometimes a new company may not be known or listed and the only way to find out is to try them yourself, but if you ever get ripped off you can also report these bad companies to the sites I listed above, the police, and the FTC https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ some basic common sense to follow is to NEVER give any company that is supposed to PAY YOU anything other than your address or paypal email address. DO NOT GIVE THEM CREDIT CARD NUMBERS, COPIES OF BILLS, OR ACCESS TO ANY FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY DO NOT GIVE THEM SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS, ALSO DO NOT SEND THEM CHECKS OR MONEY, ALL LEGIT SURVEY COMPANIES ARE FREE TO USE AND SHOULD PAY YOU AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST NEVER DO A SURVEY FOR A "SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY" THESE ARE ALL FAKE WITH ALL COMPANIES AND HAVE ZERO CHANCE OF WINNING... Giving them your address and paypal email cannot do much harm to you except maybe spam and junk mail. Follow this advise and the worst you can do is waste hours of your time. When you want to be paid choose a check or paypal payment.
