Using Paypal ?

I did make an account with them ,but am so not sure how it works .I have been trying and trying to figure it out but ,I just can't seem to wrap my head around it .

I guess I am unsure how long these transactions will take I have read any where from 5 days to 6 weeks .

Which if it was 5 days would be quicker than a mailed check but if it take 6 weeks then thats longer than a mailed check .

Do they charge me ?I have read this answer as both yes and no .Again I don't know which answers are right .

I have read all most everything I can google on this and still my head is spinning with all the different answers .

Is there some one ,some place that can give me a clear plain answer?
