  1. Things here are slowly beginning to open up, but with all the typical restrictions. Likely too late though. The economic damage is gonna be long lasting and, in some cases, permanent. Some businesses, small and some not so small, have already said they won't be reopening. Even doubtful that a few of the locals casinos will ever reopen, unless they are sold. And who would buy a casino right now? Well, maybe for a dollar I would. Unemployment rate here in the area where I live is over 33%! Airport traffic here in April was down over 96%! But what to expect when your local economy is so largely dependent on tourism/hospitality, right? Can't imagine I'll live long enough to see things get back to where they were before the virus, if they ever do. But it is what it is. Do cool people still say that? And, Dawn, glad to hear hubby is doing well. PS This may wind up being a double post as the original post is showing as "hidden." Not sure what's up with that.

  2. I have to admit that the one time I did this genome survey I had absolutely no idea what the heck they were talking about. Made it a bit difficult to answer the questions!

  3. Yesterday, something amazing happened. You will not believe me when I write this. I qualified, completed & actually got paid for a SAMPLE CUBE survey! Yes, you did read that correctly, there is nothing wrong with your eyes. I normally just click them off when they come up but this time for some reason I just did it. They are still useless but I just thought I would let you lot know that miracles do happen. HA HA

  5. They got caught in the spam filter for some reason. You may have "abused" the smileys lol. Not sure though. Just a guess. I deleted the first one and approved the second.

  6. I don't know, I just looked at the site and most of them have different numbers of open spaces remaining. I am tempted to to contact the researcher and ask him about it but I really don't want to do these surveys.

  7. Yes I have 8 unopened emails about this study. Sometimes I get an email and after the study I see other studies on the site. I take the studies and sometimes after taking it I get an email to take it.

  8. Remember when they were MyView? They were my favorite. Now every time I go there, they give the Dynata/Google thing to sign up. I am not going to do it. It says "Amount, varies". I am getting maybe one regular point survey a day. I am so close to cashing out. I don't mind the disqualifies because they add up but it'll take forever to get to $25 at this rate. Probably nobody is working now, who knows. So discouraging. There are so few good companies left. When I started this about 10 years ago, Toluna, so many good ones, I had about 30 companies that I was registered with. If anyone can suggest a great one, I'd appreciate it.

  9. Folks, I would like to start a discussion for a Panelist Bill of Rights. This is because The conduct of the Survey and Marketing industry has is in serious deterioration and a decline that seriously impacts panelists. A bill of rights is not about getting a favored position, that's what negotiations are for. This is about how we are treated uniformly. Also Professional Survey Company and Marketing organizations are woefully inadequate for the Panelist. There are panels that cheat panelists with impunity. Here're some topics that I think would be relevant, this is not in any particular order, there are probably multiple categories besides rights here. I imagine Y'all have many more 1) Tell us when it's a survey or a router. 2) complete screening up front or pay a proportional fee the longer it takes to screen out, including full price if screened out at exit. 3) Surveys must have abort provisions, and when we quit, a selection list why it was aborted. 4) Show us our complete survey history, completed, screened out, aborted and missed. 5) Tell us up front the organization that the survey is for. Some survey companies are terrible, and we want to not undertake for any price. 6) Minimal trackers, tell us which ones are being used and pay us a share for the ones producing revenue. 7) Agglomerate our own multi-point reporting system based on the value, support, integrity, payout and so forth and publish it. 8] develop a Survey Persona and reputation system so panels are less dependent on CAPTCHA and other bot barriers 9) Access to all our "rewards" that have been earned. 10) when an account is restricted because of TOS/TOC violations, state the infraction, the relevant section(s) and remediation process, Don't just send the whole TOC document, that's FU support. 11) Is the survey it a single topic or an Omnibus survey

  10. Haven’t heard anything in our “pub” for awhile. How are you all doing? Wisconsin lifted pretty much any restrictions on COVID-19. I can go to my local watering hole and have a few beers, but am still reluctant to do so. I want to see where the numbers go. I envy the people I do see dining in. They are braver than I am at this point. I know at some time I will just throw up my hands and do it. Fortunately, a lot of places have outdoor seating. I really don’t want to eat indoors anywhere. The weather is great here, and I have two patios, so I am spending quite a bit of time outdoors. I’m still walking 3-4 miles a day. I got to have a window visit with my hubby at the nursing home. First time I saw him in two months. I bawled like a baby. It was wonderful to see him. He’s doing well and looks great. They are taking good care of him. I am planning to make these window visits a weekly thing. I’m so appreciative of the nursing home being great with this. I hope you all are holding up okay.

  11. Had an invite from Talkinsights. My payment:- “as a reward, we will share the insights from each week with you” Wow - they’re going to share the results. No cash, no points, no prize draw. Just sharing the results. How can I control my excitement

  12. Duck, can you suggest which companies you're referring to? I have been doing surveys for 10 years and the good ones are almost all gone. Thanks for reply (and thanks everyone).

  13. Takes too long to get to 25.00 and the closer you get to 25.00 the slower the surveys come. I went though two cash outs and have now abandoned them. There are too many others that have lower thresholds for cash outs and surveys that are easier to qualify for. They also locked me out at one point too. Had to e-mail several times to get reinstated.

  14. Agree about One Opinion. More and more they offer the "varies" surveys. I'm not doing any that do not tell me "how much" and "how long."

  15. WOW, what a prize! I might ask some of the site's I use to stop sending me PayPal and just ask for the results instead. Talkinsights here I come!

  16. Good for you. You have to stay on top of some of these penny pinching companies. All too often people just let it pass. You can't. Doing those surveys is a lot of work and time consuming. You are owed compensation.

  18. I once was invited to participate in an online movie community by a company that paid its ceo 63 million dollars but wanted to pay its panelists by having a raffle for a chance to win. No thanks.
