  1. Does anyone else's heart sink when you start a survey and it takes you to a Qualtrics abomination? The particular ones I'm thinking of ask you to evaluate about 40 companies against a number of questions. Some of these survey companies are so inept. Can't they appreciate that sending participants into a near-comatose state will affect the quality of any data they collect?

  2. I’ve been doing surveys for about 15 years. It seems at this point there is so much consolidating like Dynata buying a bunch of companies. I’m noticing a lot more of that than anything else. Many of the survey companies seem to have “downsized” for lack of a better word. Less points/awards, more screening out, less customer service.

  3. I do sympathise. I find it almost painful sometimes. I've dropped most of the most egregious pee-taking sites and have come to rely on just a handful, with practically all of my earnings coming from just two sites - if either of those go I'll be stumped. I will abandon a survey if I feel my head is going to explode - sadly not that uncommon an occurrence these days! That so many surveys are semi-literate, illogical or just plain incomprehensible doesn't exactly help, does it? Chin up, we all know how you're feeling.

  4. I use a site called OnePoll but I think it is a different one (I'm in the UK). The one here has short surveys offering 10-15p (occasionally as much as 25p, woo hoo!) and has a cashout threshold of £25. I never get notified of surveys so check it as a matter of course each morning to see if there's anything doing. I'm probably not going to be able to retire to Monaco on what I earn.

  5. I've only been active in online survey panels for 5 years and around 50,000+ surveys attempted. I have Asperger's and can do surveys for long stretches at a time. I've noticed an increasing number of panels this year going "dark". Dark means essentially becoming inactive and no longer sending invitations. This strands the rewards you have earned. Some panels have not been affect, but some, like i-Say, have become very parsimonious, no longer following "all surveys count", and even have zero point surveys, screen outs that no longer have scant consolation points, diminished loyalty awards or unable to deliver on even the contest entries. I think this is a question for the more seasoned panelists that have seen down turns before, is this any different? The only uplift has been the academic surveys sites that have been polling the heck out of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Kris

  6. I've been doing them for about 12 years. I agree w/Dawn that you see more companies merging than anything else. But there are also quite a few survey apps that we didn't have before so that's good. I think demographics still has a lot to do with it. I personally haven't seen too much of a slow down. You are also doing a ton of surveys so you may notice more than others. At 10,000/year, you're talking 28 surveys every single day or many more if you don't do them daily. I am no where near that so I usually have surveys available on the main sites I use.

  7. I get your frustration. In the past year I kicked One Opinion, Branded, and Lifepoints all to the curb. I'm not ready to give up yet, but I am focused on panels with the most return for effort expended. By the way, Quick Thoughts sent a non-canned reply to my goodbye service ticket response, still claiming the "quality" of my responses was the cause of my banishment, which is a load of excrement. As I said before, good riddance.

  8. Been doing surveys for almost 20 years. I have seen some vanish and some merge multiple panels into one (like One Opinion). Not getting paid has been rare.

  9. I've been trying this panel for a month and it's not very encouraging. They don't seem to use the profile the panelist creates and during the survey qualification, it's obvious that this is the case, since the onboarding questions that come up don't fit what is in the profile. Since I'm 25% of the way to a payout threshold, I'll give the 20/20 panel six months to show some progression. If there isn't, then they likely never will and I'll stop participating in surveys and see how long before the reward forfeitures start. News at 11.

  10. Same here. I was banned in 2018. Then 2 years later I logged in on a new phone and viola, taking surveys again. This is the problem I have with them. Long winded boring surveys. You can only do them on mobile devices and some of those surveys are simply not practical on a phone. You need a wider screen. But if you use a different internet, you're at the library or Starbucks, they think you're deceptive and will ban you. All they give is Amazon gift cards and Itunes. Amazon has become a joke. My last three orders have taken 2 weeks to get to my house. The only thing I receive from Amazon quickly is a kindle book. How many of those can I read? It'd be different if they had PayPal. I got kicked off of E-Rewards as well a couple of months ago. Had $40 in my account and banned me for absolutely no reason. Some AI bot just giving me the same answers over and over again like a parrot. Now mind you ER has a lot of those long winded surveys as well. Mind numbingly boring with those tiny dots over and over again. Not to mention the stupid IQ tests. The only surveys I do now are the ones with Google. You get google pay credit. All the others besides ER and QT (like One Opinion, Univox and Ipsos Isay I fired a long time ago). I think the days of my survey taking is over. It was a good run while it lasted. The long winded boring surveys (many of which I've fallen asleep in the middle of doing), the constant threat of being cancelled and the lack of good rewards just gave me a bad taste in my mouth. They lost a good survey slave with me. On to bigger and better things.

  11. I have that opinion just from the look and feel of that domain.
