Actually this was not a video chat. I had to do it in writing, and it took me a second to figure out how to respond to him, and so we did not get to correspond that much.

I had a similar video chat survey on prolific, twice this summer. The researchers were analyzing video communications interactions. Each of those surveys paid $15, PayPal, through Prolific.

I just did the survey, and it was not that bad. I live in the Chicago area, but the guy they paired me with lives in Southern Cal. and he told me that he has had wildfires on two different occasions in his neighborhood, and he has lost several friends to the virus. He was actually nice. He did not jump down my throat. It was a Qualtrics survey, and it was conducted by a professor at Harvard. I would do this again. I can see if you do not know who you are going to vote for, that they would not want you. I don't love Biden, but I hate Trump, and anybody is better than he is. I think Biden has a much better chance of winning than Bernie would have because he is more moderate. The person I wanted to be the Democratic candidate was Amy, and she dropped out, and pulled herself out of the race to be VP. I am very interested in the election because I desperately want Trump out of office, but there is a chance he will win again. I already got my $5, but this was the first survey I am been eligible for in over a month, although I did get lots of $.10 for DQ. Now I just need $.45 to claim two Amazon GC.

Opinion Outpost is one of my money-makers & I'm usually flooded with survey invites on a daily basis. Well, just the other day I noticed that I haven't have an invite from them in a while. So I went to the log in from Google & saw that they re-designed their site. I had to do a Profile (last one was in 2005), which wasn't bad & immediately, I've been flooded with invites again. But they should say something about this to their members. I'm registered with so many, that I wouldn't have missed their invites, but for the fact I make a lot of $$ with them. So Google their site; update your Profile & you should be good-to-go.

I did, but I'm not going to take part. Normally, I can have an argument with Satan HISSELF...and win! But, I'm on the fence with this election. Although, I've been a Republican & pride myself for NEVER missing an election in 40 years, I don't like either one of them. I know a lot about Trump & Kamala Harris (she was Atty General for Calif), I don't know that much about Biden--at least not enough to critique a political discussion. But for $5, I'd go for it if I was you. What have you got to lose?

This was easy to find, it was under the privacy statement. I find the privacy statement to have higher quality info to start digging. I like digging. I then take the business information from the privacy statement and start cross-referencing other databases, DBA lookup for a city/county, what other companies are at or have been at the same location, LinkedIn, Secretary of State searches for records of corporate formation, CrunchBase, RocketReach, Depending on the state, search for professional licenses, BBB cross-references and a few more, like zabasearch. Once I find the principles of a panel, I repeat the process and look for a history. If anyone has other deep or dark internet searches they use, please share. Hopefully free.

Peanut Labs is awful, they oft hide behind the distinction they only hosted the survey and not the panel. They are masters of redirected support. Peanut Labs is now part of Dynata and Dynata has a large subsidiary base. Most likely what has happened is an old panel you abandoned but did not resign and close down and as a result no longer update contains stale information, and they are using that to determine your reputation. I had this happen to me with MyPoints. I was able to get Mypoints support to deactivate every panel I was on that was within their pervue and I've never had to content with that issue again. I get them sometimes when I take the MyPoints and Swagbucks surveys. They seem to work OK when they give you a survey. But I don't access them directly. The points I do earn from the go to either the MyPoints or Swagbucks survey points.

Talk about an insensitive email, someone with bars behind wearing a striped shirt. What sort of psychopath or nut does that? Some of these surveys (and many of pay pretty lousy) only pay anywhere from .25 to a couple of dollars. When I've gotten emails from these panels in the past, it was written in very poor English which tells me they're either coming out of SE Asia or some other foreign country. You're right. That was totally classless.

I will never figure out what these panels are doing. The first time I contacted support nothing happened. The second time I get reinstated within a few days. Makes no sense. And it said permanently suspended which I interpreted as having no chance of getting reinstated. Then they reinstated my account. When I first got the permanently suspended message there was a picture of someone behind bars wearing a striped shirt. It was terrible I even got suspended but wasn't that classless? It made me feel like they thought I was a criminal. Then they eventually changed the picture to something a little less degrading. No email from them or any notification that my account was reinstated. I had been checking it every day and then after I sent them a second support request my Peanut Labs surveys were back in a few days. If nothing happened after I contacted support a second time I was just going to give up on them. There were a few panels in the past where my account was suspended and they did not reinstate me. If you belong to a lot of panels this is probably going to eventually happen.
