  1. Hi everyone, I am conducting a survey on examining the smartphone buying patterns of smartphone users. Please spare 5 minutes of your time for completing this survey at https://uol.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/smartphones . Thanks.

  2. Totally agree with all you said. Dropped them years ago like a HOT potato!

  3. That error message has been there since well before they were acquired by Dynata. They have yet to be able to solve it. The Emily chat bot is essentially useless. Best bet is to email support at [email protected].

  4. This looks like a shill. I dropped Toluna once they demonstrated how resolute they were on their forfeiture policy. The demonstrated it again when the shutdown a panel they had created, "Expert Outpost". They shut that panel down and members lost their stranded points. Toluna knows who I am, and bombs any survey fielded for them that I encounter. I suggest find a panel with ethics

  5. Yes they do. The thing is they don't care. They allow you the privilege of being a site member for a while until one day when you try to access your account, you find you can't. Then, you contact the company to report a technical issue and it turns out that they have terminated your account with them without notifying you. This is not because you haven't observed site rules or broken any rule but simply because your presence is not longer required. To a degree it's fair enough. It's their site, their company, I suppose they can do what they like. However, it's the rudeness which I found so distasteful. If you no longer want my time and effort okay but please have the decency and good manners to contact me to say so. As a company, they really are very rude.

  6. Recently I thought I completed a survey that took me roughly 30 minutes and instead of getting the message I successfully completed the survey I got a message that I didn't qualify. Really. It took them that long to figure that out. I don't even remember which panel it was because I belong to so many but it is very frustrating. A few of the panels will pay you something for attempting a survey but not many. One Opinion is one that quickly comes to mind. They pay for up to 5 survey attempts each day. And another thing that can be an issue is them meeting their quota for the number of completed surveys so you can invest a lot of time in taking a survey and then get kicked out because they don't need any more responses. I can't tell you how many times I thought I was going to be able to complete a survey and wasn't able to because I either got the didn't qualify message or they don't need any more responses. Doing online surveys can be both rewarding and frustrating at the same time.

  7. I think you are pretty much right on with your survey time calibration chart. Almost all surveys seem to take longer than the listed time. 5 minute surveys meaning surveys that actually take only 5 minutes to complete are pretty much nonexistent. I belong to even more than the 12 panels you do and have learned through the years to spread the wealth meaning don't complete too many surveys for any one panel within too short of a period of time or else you risk getting flagged. That has happened to me several times in the past. If you complete lets say 2 surveys with one panel on a given day it may be best to not try to complete anymore with that panel and just move on to another one. Like you I try to stick with the shorter surveys but unfortunately as we have been discussing the shorter surveys these days are often not that short. And yes it is frustrating to invest 20 or more minutes on a survey then get kicked out for whatever reason. This unfortunately happens to all of us who are active doing online surveys.

  8. I agree with everyone above. I also don't do this movie survey that starts with "do you have a son/daughter you take to the movies." It has ended in me getting screwed too many times. I'm also leery of the alcohol-related ones. I just got out of one that asked me if I had heard of a wine. It said 1/53. No way. It just takes way too much time waiting for that next card to load. I'd be more willing to do it if all of the options were on the same screen and I could quickly click the answers.

  9. Has anyone ever won a sweepstakes here? I don't expect to ever win but last week they had already posted a winner for an active sweepstakes that didn't close for another 18 hours. At first I thought it was a typo, that they listed the wrong date but I just rechecked and the same name shows up as the winner, a name that appeared before the sweepstakes ended. Idk I guess I just needed to vent because it really bugs me.

  10. Me too. Just reached the threshold for the time with this outfit ( which has taken three years!) and there is a repeated "try again later" message. Online chat facility is a complete and utter waste of time.
