  1. For my birthday, Fetch Rewards gave me a free Magazine Subscription. Just hoping I don't get auto encrolled after the subscription period ends and get charged.

  2. Wonder if it’s somehow Illegal to be a platform for surveys , offer people ‘points ‘ ( which equal money ) to do surveys ....get a cut for what people take , but don’t pay them . It’d seem to violate disposition laws if the person offered wasn’t compensated

  3. We need to get someone working inside to be a whistleblower, documenting the times the company used data even after respondents were screened out, then it's a class action lawsuit.

  4. Absolutely. I think these survey companies are complete charlatans. Only today, I have had two surveys not pay me for completing them. They use the excuse that they don't get paid if we don't get paid, what a load of nonsense that is. They also say that they don't use the data if we get screened out after completing the survey, another lie. If I think how many times a day I get scammed after completing a survey, combine that with everyone else, they are getting so much data for free, it is illegal and wrong in my opinion that people waste their time and energy and then get nothing. Something should be done about it.

  6. I spent two hours doing surveys on Valued Opinions today, and made $18.50. Two of the surveys each paid $5. They were both surveys that mentioned possible menu additions at restaurants, and asked my opinion about them and what I liked and did not like about them, and whether I thought they were the money. Two other surveys were about cell phone plans, and one of them asked me if I wanted to answer additional questions for additional rewards, and I did, but then when It asked me the same question, I decided to finish the survey, and I did not get the additional rewards that they had promised. One of the surveys was about hospitals, and that one took a while too. There were other surveys I could have done, but I decided two hours was enough time to do surveys. Now I have $55 in my account, and so it is time to cash out for Amazon. They charge you $22 for a $20 Amazon GC. There have been a few other times that I have spent an hour doing surveys on VO, and been denied on all of them, and so today was okay.

  7. Perhaps in Texas, we could press an issue if enough of us make a point. I'd include a screen shot of the notice. However, SP has throttled the ability of forum members to post more than a few MegaBytes in total. I wonder if this throttling is a Canadian thing? So, Y'all will have to just go to a Texas Bar and start combing the interior for this legal notice.
