  1. As others have mentioned, I think this was a mistake and you were not supposed to see this. I've had similar messages within surveys, making no sense, am sure those are in error too.

  2. I figure it's there to cover them for everything short of the International Space Station falling on them and to screw us the survey taker. I tried reading it once and found it's a total screw job. No more reading for me, they're gonna do what they're gonna do....

  3. Definitely the latter. They're pulling from a database that hasn't been maintained in aeons, because maintenance costs money, and having a buggy survey doesn't. It always makes me sad seeing Fresh & Easy in lists - they were one of my favorite grocery stores, until they went out of business like a decade ago.

  4. I see Wieboldt's listed as well. It was closed in 1987 and I'm surprised it lasted that long. I went there as a very little kid in the early 60s. I think these are just trick questions to weed out the non-serious survey takers.

  5. Not sure if we're thinking about the same survey, but there's this one pre-survey that I get occasionally that lists like 15 stores and asks if you've shopped at any of them in the past month, and at least several of the stores are ones that I've never heard of or don't believe actually exist anymore. From my experience that survey is basically one big trick question because it also asks a few other questions that are clearly meant to detect bots or people who aren't paying attention.

  6. No wonder you skim these details. You were surely 'burned'.

  7. I mostly skim through them paying attention to the headers. Just yesterday I was skimming one and saw copyright notice. It stated that they will own the copyright to whatever you say and you will not receive compensation for it's use. I closed out of it. I have been burned by this before. A certain entity used my tagline in their ads and I got nothing. From then on I never give or say anything they can use in an ad and I never give up my copyright. Another thing I don't like is when they say if law enforcement or authorities asks they will turn over your info.

  8. Yeah, I got that notification - I'm cautiously optimistic that they're not going to ruin anything, as everything they described just sounded cosmetic. Heck, given that while I like everything else about the site, their website isn't particularly keyboard-friendly, it's possible they could even fix that in the refresh. My first thought when I saw the popup was definitely that they were about to trash the place, though, given that usually sites take the opportunity in "refreshes" to gut pay and then lie about it... but paidviewpoint has been solid for so long, I can at least imagine a scenario where they don't do that.

  9. I am not good at Math but I do know the answer. Makes one wonder who writes the questions.

  10. I skim through the old ones and do read when I do a new company or like somone says, a test. I enter sweepstakes and I do read the rules and terms when you have to click "I have read and accept".

  11. They have Daytons in some surveys and they have been gone from Minnesota for years. They were the top department store for years.

  12. I shop there at least 15 times a year as there is one less than 3 miles away and my WellCare Spendables can be used there for groceries. That is the only store here where it can be used for groceries.

  13. I know. In the Chicago area, Dominick's closed all of their stores 10 years ago, but I still see them listed on some surveys.

  14. I never use that one either. I only shop at the store maybe three times a year, and every time I am in the store, I ask myself why I am there.

  15. Yep, had this posting and you're so right, try and fail and there is no going back. Just makes no sense at all.

  16. I tried it awhile back and I really was unable to make much money so I closed my account!

  17. I tried it out and didn't care for it. Their surveys are very low paying and it seemed like it would take forever to get to the $10 cashout threshold.
