I assume so, but I had this image of a sheet over the PC and the window blinds drawn...

Any one else get a bit annoyed with surveys that want you to type in every type of some product or company you've heard of, when they then just show a list of them to pick from? I mean what's the point? I've actually got into the habit of writing in 'why bother asking when the survey is going to show a list?', and still end up being able to complete them.

I heard back from yougov today, and because it was their fault that I got the extra Amazon GC, they told me I could keep it and cash it in. That was nice of them.

I used to get one that would ask "What city is closest to you" with the choices of Virginia or California. Huh??

Is Emily the bot on Oneopinion working for anyone today? You type something in and she dont answer! I think she quit! LOL

I often see some subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) bias in these political surveys. The way they're constructed, for example, steering you to answer a certain way or even the actual wording of the questions. That's why even though I do surveys, I disregard the findings. Think by now we all know how misleading/wrong surveys, polls, etc. can be. (Edit to include something else I just thought of.) These sort of surveys also can be factually flawed. Recently had two similar surveys asking whether I would support or oppose certain legislation in my state. Problem was that two of the pieces of legislation had already been proposed, put on the ballot, voted on, passed and enacted...as much as three years ago! I pointed this out in both the first and second survey (in the survey comments section), but I begin to suspect that when you're asked for comments about a survey, they often are ignored, wasting my time and very rudimentary keyboard skills.

Join the club. Happens to me as well. Not good , but I have learned to live with it.

I've have to agree with what other's have said, it's simply a matter of it being the weekend, and survey companies being shut down and not putting up new surveys. There's been several times I've been told no surveys available on various sites on the weekends.

I actually love the surveys during election time. I'm sick of getting this one particular one (I live in Illinois also) but I look forward to this time of year in the survey world. I know, I'm weird.

I would (and I did). Remember PointClick? When it shut down suddenly leaving everyone with $$ owed , I was contacted by 2 reporters and was quoted in 2 different articles. Still have the printed versions here. I've also been on TV - was the sole eyewitness to a drunk driving accident and was interviewed by 2 different TV reporters.

I was on a survey site tonight and I was taking a 15 minute survey. It reminded me of one of the Yougov ones but it wasn't one of theirs. After 25 minutes I was answering questions left and right and then hit submit and BAM! They have enough responses. I know this is usual and it happens to me all the time. But dang!! 25 minutes!!! And nothing!! Thanks for listening. I am done now. I am still mad though. Maybe I should turn on the air conditioner, it might help.

My biggest problem over the past several months is the fact that I am getting ripped off more than ever before. More than 10% of all completed surveys by me now lead to a disqualification or non-payment (or that token penny). That only tempts me to cheat on more surveys (like doing a survey you already did for another site). I'd rather not do that, but these companies need to take more responsibility for whatever happens when they sponsor surveys from other sources. Don't waste a person's time. That said, people should always expect holidays and weekends to be slower, and strategize around that.

Yeah, my brain fart was during an initial question. I felt really stupid and embarrassed. They can make multiple mistakes and screw me out of a successful completion and not blink an eye, but one little mistake on my part and bam! Appalling customer service. Screw them.

So I emailed them back after they gave me 500 points saying they still owe me 1000 and now they give me the 1500 .You know what I keeping that extra 500 points just for the headache of having to deal with all the crap they put me thru.

I think it's just a game on their part to encourage truthful answers and make you think that whatever you put is acceptable when in fact you will get DQd if some answer is not what they are looking for. Older I get the more cynical I get:)

Another annoying part of this captcha screening is going through it once when you first click on a survey link, being redirected to another survey platform, and then being asked to do it all over again for that one.
