Someone on /r/beermoney recommended this app to me a few months back, called Hatch - it's actually by C-Space, who are also responsible for the best-paying, awesomest private survey community of the handful I'm a part of, so it's not too surprising that this app also pays well for your time. It is surprising that it's so completely flown under the radar, so I was wondering if anyone else here uses it, and to people who don't, to recommend it. You don't get surveys from it very often, and it never proactively informs you of them, you have to check it periodically - but when you do snag one, it's super worth it. Like Pinecone, they periodically invite you to complete short (couple minute) surveys for no pay, but then use your responses, if you qualify for what they're looking for, to invite you to surveys that are still pretty short, often interesting, and pay pretty nicely - the least I've gotten is $3, the most I've gotten is $10, and their surveys aren't that long (though, oddly, for an app-only site, they do often include some writing - I don't mind as much, because I completely refuse to give up my Photon Q, the last-ever Android phone with a proper keyboard - otherwise I'd probably be more irritated. But I'd be irritated all over the place, which is why I refuse to give it up. :p) The really nice thing about it, too, is they clearly read all our responses, and if they like your response, I learned, they will pay extra - I've gotten $5 bonuses on top of the $5 original pay, twice now, in the few months since I started using it. They only pay in Amazon, and it takes a few weeks to get paid, because they process everything manually (though according to the site, they're working on getting payment more automated, but who knows when that's going to happen, if ever). Still, I'd highly recommend it, so I figure I would... actually highly recommend it.

If you're seriously asking us how to lie and be dishonest just to make a few cents, you'll probably want to think about doing something online besides surveys. Dishonest /inaccurate results are probably one of the reasons the rest of us have to jump through hoops to prove we're sincere.

i dont post one here much... but i thought i would let everybody know i received a survey thru mintvine.. 45cents for 30 mins.. when i clicked on it... it was a qualtrics survey ( spell check )... anyway.. it included a message from the person sending out the survey.. name , email, phone number etc.. so i emailed her and told her that.. although i would love to take the survey.. mintvine is only paying out 45 cents and do you think this is fair... would you take a survey for 45 cents.. this is her response copy and pasted below... Thank you so much for your email regarding your compensation. I really appreciate you taking the time to complete my survey. I contacted Qualtrics about the very low rate of compensation you brought to my attention and I want you to know that this was not the amount that you were supposed to receive. Forty five cents for a 30 minutes survey is indeed unfairly low. They are looking into the matter as we speak and will follow up with you for a resolution shortly. Thank you again for the important role you have played in my research and I hope you have a wonderful day. Respectfully, Katherine White right after that mintvine closed out the survey.. right as i was taking it ( go figure ) .... tired of these sites thinking they can get over... sometimes it pays to find out who is actually sponsoring the survey and let them know whats going on..

I heard back from yougov today, and because it was their fault that I got the extra Amazon GC, they told me I could keep it and cash it in. That was nice of them.

How many millionaires are sitting in front of their computers filling out a survey worth maybe 50 cents? Ridiculous.

If so many people weren't lying just to qualify, they wouldn't have to do that im surprised at how many people will blatantly brag on forums about what lies they used to get qualified and tell others the "correct" answers to qualify. Then they get all pissed off that someone reports them and they lose their reward

I have about 5 survey companies nearing cashout and now receiving no surveys. Do you have the same experience? . If we do not receive surveys after 1 year we should be able to cash out and unsubscribe although cashout not reached. They have my work for zero reward. .

I was taking a survey about hair care and a page said "sorry, you don't qualify to complete this survey but we still want to ask you questions about your hair." I exited out without answering the extra questions, I didn't care about the dq points, it was the principle. At least they were honest, most surveys just keep asking questions after you dq without notifying you.

You guys do realize that you are basically asking to be hacked by giving a company the ability to monitor everything you do on the internet, right? I know several ITs who will tell you the same thing. Every time you log into your bank account online, it is very possibly your password can be hacked. You could argue and say "Well, it's a legit company". But, do you actually trust EVERY single person behind the scenes working for that company who has access and sees everything you do and type online? Not smart at all. Yes, I was also offered a good paying opportunity to do this same thing through Neilson, but I declined. They still promised me $5 just for taking the poll saying that I'm not interested. So, I'm sure the pay is decent.....but at the threat of identity theft or bank account hacking is not worth it.

Any one else get a bit annoyed with surveys that want you to type in every type of some product or company you've heard of, when they then just show a list of them to pick from? I mean what's the point? I've actually got into the habit of writing in 'why bother asking when the survey is going to show a list?', and still end up being able to complete them.

Why survey companies look for people like 'Looking for senior oil executives'. Looking for people with over 500,000 to invest' Do they honestly think that senior oil executives and the like or people who a spare half million want to spend their time answering questions about what personality traits a brand of car would have if it was a human? May be there are such people but if I had a spare half million I would be lying on a beach in Hawaii not doing surveys. LOL What do you think?

Hi- Boy I will be glad when the election is over in nine days. I am so sick of all of the political ads on tv, and it seems like I am getting a ton of political surveys including some that are not from yougov.. The govenor's race is really heated here in Illinois, and I am not crazy about either candidate. They both are very wealthy, and have lots of money to spend on ads. There were two other candidates in the Democratic primary, but they did not have the money to run as many ads as JB Pritzer did,, and he also got lots of union support I have been getting lots of surveys about the governors race, and a few about other elections that are not as hotly contested.

I actually love the surveys during election time. I'm sick of getting this one particular one (I live in Illinois also) but I look forward to this time of year in the survey world. I know, I'm weird.

I BELONG TO 35 SURVEY GROUPS AND HAVE TRIED TO USE GOOGLE'S NASTY RECAPTCHA VERIFICATION THAT SOME OF THEM HAVE INSTALLED. MY MAXIMUM TRY IS 33X TO TRY TO GET IN. GOOGLE HAS MADE IT EVEN WORSE LATELY. I AM LOSING MONEY, TIME AND PATIENCE. I NEVER BARGAINED FOR THIS WHEN I SIGNED UP AND CANNOT IMAGINE WHY ANY SURVEY SITE WOULD USE IT, THERE ARE MILLIONS OF SIMPLE VERIFICATIONS LIKE "HOW MUCH IS 2+2?" OR "WHAT COLOR IS THE TRIANGLE?" NIELSEN, FOR ONE, HAS NO PRE-VERIFICATION, JUST A FEW QUESTIONS THROUGHOUT THE SURVEYS. IT IS DISCRIMINATORY TOWARDS MEMBERS WHO HAVE VISION PROBLEMS, THE PICTURES ARE THE WORST QUALITY, FUZZY, TINY ITEMS IN THE DISTANCE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SPOT AS WELL AS HALF HIDDEN OBJECTS, AS ONE BLOGGER WROTE IN ONE OF 18 EMAILS I GOT ALL AT ONCE FROM THEIR SITE "THIS IS A PIECE OF CRAP". YES, SOME MODELS HAVE AN AUDITORY OPTION BUT THAT ASSUMES EVERYONE HAS SPEAKERS OR EARPHONES. I AM BLOCKED CHOOSING MORE SURVEYS AT THE SITES, FROM LOGGING IN, FROM VIEWING MY REWARDS OR REDEEMING THEM. IT IS INFURIATING!

I picked my daughter up from college last week and she told me that her stats teacher had mentioned some ways to get surveys done. SurveyPolice was the first one he mentioned! She was all excited because she hears me talk about it. I asked her who else he mentioned and she couldn't remember any other name. So she will be posting on here someday for her college course work. Super to hear this place got named first!

They have been teasing me lately with the wacky points. Yesterday they said I could do a 10 minute survey for 4340 points and when I clicked get started, it said I didn't qualify without asking me a question.

I was the person that contacted Support because the other day I couldn't start a new topic or reply to anything here. I received a reply in about 10 minutes. Being the weekend I didn't think I would hear from anyone until at least Monday. Now I come tonight and see I can reply and post once again. I don't know what they did but want to say thanks for doing it!

I keep seeing ads for some of these sights and they show $100 bills as part of it and state "up to $5 per survey". And then is no fine print. But there should be. It is deceptive in my opinion. The first site I used was QuickRewards. I spent 45 minutes and got 0. I was pissed. That was just the qualifying questions. I didn't understand it. But I found other sites and started trying them. Eventually I dropped QuickRewards and have dropped quite a few since then. Not everyone will qualify for the same surveys, which took me a while to catch on to. I am not sure if this site even existed back then, I didn't know about it. It would have helped me a ton. That is why we get on here and complain and rave about these sites. We alert one another to what we are experiencing. What is a great site for me, may not apply to others. Alexiana, unless you are just bored with the whole process, keep trying. You won't get rich, but you might get a card here and there to go out and have a nice dinner, or buy a tank of gas, or be a gift for someone else.

While I appreciate that.I would also like something for the 3 to 5 minutes I put in to just "trying" to qualify.Just add all those 3 to 5 minutes ,by the oh lets say 10 surveys that I tried to do that day , and that I did not qualify for.Do the math that is 30 to 50 minutes pi--ed in the wind and for nothing.Don't tell me most people wouldn't get irritated by that. While some of us do stick around you can see why most wouldn't want to .I think it shameful, but I can also see where it is my own fault for thinking survey companies would have compassion. This is not directed at Tellwut but for all survey companies out there who choose to treat others so badly.Still trying to make a buck and grumbling the whole time while I am trying_lol.

The terms high paying... and "surveys" just don't go together in my mind. But anyhow, like Trueblue said, what do you consider high paying? I've been more and more offended lately with the "do this 20 minute survey and we'll give ya a quarter, kid" garbage.

I would (and I did). Remember PointClick? When it shut down suddenly leaving everyone with $$ owed , I was contacted by 2 reporters and was quoted in 2 different articles. Still have the printed versions here. I've also been on TV - was the sole eyewitness to a drunk driving accident and was interviewed by 2 different TV reporters.

Anything that actually asks me questions about new potential products, rather than asking me a million questions about the products I already use, or about the advertising of those products. Especially if they're about new potential products in things I really care about, being mainly the categories of food (including both restaurants and groceries), travel (airlines, hotels, cruises, other transportation, etc.), or financial (credit cards, bank accounts, etc.) But not if they're about advertisements of those - then they're just about advertisements, it doesn't matter what they're advertising. Advertisement surveys are boring. Surveys that ask about actual products in those spaces that are existing products are ok too, but I only get excited when they ask about new products. Obviously also especially any product where I get to actually try the product. I miss getting those - haven't gotten one of those in ages. And I agree with peach6, political ones can be interesting, too, as long as they're sufficiently unbiased, but also, that these days I just want to stop even thinking about politics, cause it's gotten too depressing. As far as "structure"... doesn't really matter, as long as it's not too repetitive, doesn't ask me the same question multiple times, doesn't ask me the same question multiple times, doesn't keep repeating itself, and doesn't ask me the same question multiple times. And as long as it's never a giant grid of checkboxes mapping multiple companies to multiple adjectives, especially the ones where I can tell they're just using it to anonymize the one and only one company they actually even care about the results of. Other than that, I'm pretty flexible.

Best answers are the honest ones- you never know when they are going to ask you the same question twice.

I don't usually pay attention to the star rating. I read the actual reviews and see if the company sounds like one that is worth my time or not. I also only pay attention to recent reviews. We have the ability to edit our reviews so it's partially on us to make sure we are keeping the ratings current. Just my two cents
  44. 4 points
When I see this on a 50 cent or less survey I get angry but then smile as I respond with a word or two and write, this is your 15 cents worth. What level of quality do these companies expect when the pay a pittance?

Over all the years I have belonged to My Survey , I have done both beverage and snack diaries along with one on personal grooming iitems. Haven't seen the snack one in a couple years now , but the beverage one has been coming up quite regularly. The diaries had always worked perfectly until about a year ago. Now any of the following may happen: - it completes normally and points are awarded - it completes , but ends with an error screen after submitting (they have given the points in those cases) - you get screened out after a few days for no reason (there are no wrong answers possible) The latest quirk in the one I'm doing now is that the option to save repeat items is only saving the title you give it without the details , meaning you have to enter all of the details for everything each day. They definitely need to look at the programming on these!!

I don't know about yall, but ive about had it doing these things. I used to have a pretty good amount of fun doing them, but not now. im just tired of the gipping, the lying, the lower payouts, well, just about every thing under the sun now. im burned out to put it mildly. im on disability and it helped me a lot doing these surveys, but the stress is getting to be too much dealing with all the problems and the emailing that are cropping up all the time now. how I long for the good ole days a few years back. SIGH!!!!
  50. 4 points
Oh! I'm so glad you posted this! I didn't know it was everyone dealing with this. I started getting them and figured I had gotten too many of those ridiculously hard to read captchas wrong and they flagged me or something. But this new thing is a horror! Like with the street signs... seems like sometimes they want the sign posts included, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they want a gas station included as a "store front" and sometimes they don't. It's maddening!
