I assume so, but I had this image of a sheet over the PC and the window blinds drawn...

I'm praying that somelady's post was largely sarcasm.

3 points for a 30 minute survey re: eyeglasses, vision. A disgrace!!! Went on page after page. I never would have completed had I known only 3 points. Ridiculous!!.

That is entirely possible. You may have exhausted the surveys available at that time and more went live later.

Sounds like I was lucky to get DQ'd from that one!

In fact, I just sent a polite message to HCD asking them to send me my earned money and close my account. If they refuse, I will be reporting them to the BBB and the FTC. I suggest we all do the same. Enough is enough. We need to put an end to these businesses who remain in business just to scam people.

A total decrease in surveys- more and more of those new surveys now popping up that do not tell you the points and your sent to a router-an way more DQs! I knew this would happen once the horrid survey sampling company fully took over! The same crap company that took over survey spot, opinion outpost, and a ton more others that when they took over the original site lost everything that made the site a good site to take surveys with! Ugh- had a whopping two surveys this morning and one of those horrid no mentioned point router surveys- I used to get 10 or so surveys every morning one after the other.

What causes that is that the site viewed left a cookie on your system and the subsequent sites ad rotator visited checked for cookies on the system and displayed ads accordingly. I see that all the time. If I visit a site like Petco , for days afterwards I will be seeing a stead stream of their banner ads. There is no way that anyone can see through electronic devices on the user end. Been in computers since 1979 and have never seen such a thing.

It's all about filling quotas. The originator of the survey, i.e. the Market Research company that was hired by the original client who needs the data, will either build the survey themselves, or contract it out to another company. The survey is then offered up to various channels to fill the quota for completes based on the survey's required demographics. Often times they are first hosted on the companies native panels, e.g. IPSOS I-Say will use their own panel site. If the quota is not filled then it will be released on alternate channels, either survey routers or individual panels the company has a relationship with. Usually once it's released on alternate channels these channels take their "cut" and the incentive is reduced. As somelady says above, once in awhile the alternate channel will pay more than the original, but that's probably because the originator offered it to them at a higher rate in an attempt to fill the quota faster (higher incentive = more respondents). The annoying thing is that this can often turn into multiple layers of channels, e.g. Panel A -> Panel B -> Panel C. The more layers you get the more complicated it is to return a successful survey complete back to the original panel. I think this results in some the dead-ends we see when we complete a survey and it never returns back to the original panel that offered it (Cint comes to mind).

I have been on this site for about a year and think it is great UNTIL they brought in 'partners' namely Peanut Labs. In the past week I have completed 4 surveys I was qualified for. Completed them in full and submitted them and then was told I did not qualify for them. I have advised Branded about this but so far no response except they are very busy with tickets. Anyone else having this problem. LAST time I try to take survey with Peanut Labs Cheers Kate

Me too. Spent 15 minutes with a survey until the end, then was told I did not qualify, but that I'd finished it. Sent a ticket as well. Not happy with them since they changed from Mintvine.

Looks like Branded surveys is paying their surveys to account immediately now instead of the 2 weeks waiting period.. I have 2 completes that credited immediately to account. Anyone else see this or was it a temporary glitch? lol

I came across peanut labs with swagbucks and they were a total waste of time. There is no meaningful progression of points, so when I see their URL, I abort the survey. I do this on any panel they come up and tell the support I won't waste my time with peanut labs and ask to have peanut labs filtered out of my survey feed.

Typically OO lets you know a ahead of time the estimated length of the survey and how much it's worth, but I agree the point system is crazy, you might be given 5 points for a five minute survey, or for a twenty minute one, there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to it.

I'm noticing a slight decrease in the number of available surveys now also. A bit more alarming is that I'm getting DQed somewhat more than in the past. And there's one survey that pops up from time to time that I stay far, far away from. It's 1,000 points for 98 minutes!

Thanks Episemion. I try to clear all the cache and stuff and my browsing history quite often, but I guess that doesn't always help me. I just hate all the ads.

What??? If I look something up on my phone, I start getting ads for it. But my phone, computer, and tablet are all Apple products, so they are kind of married to one another. Your story makes me cringe! I guess I should stop talking about people in control of the country, just in case someone is listening in.

Maybe try a different web browser? Turn off any add-ons that you might be using (if there is such a thing in edge). clear cookies/cache?

Some days, I do not even get 5 surveys anymore. What the heck!
  49. 1 point
Yeah, they all do that but what gets me is when another site pays more for the survey than if you took it on the site that made it. Or when I get mindfield surveys on other sites and qualify but I haven't qualified for a survey on the mindfield site in a few years.

Just got the "varies" thing myself and, yeah, I'm not thrilled with it. Not knowing how much you'll get for a survey beforehand is not cool. Who wants to do a twenty minute survey for a nickel or dime? Not even me! Hate this as OneOpinion is one of my two or three best sites, although I haven't been qualifying for as many surveys there lately as I used to. Good news with the "varies" this morning was that I answered one question, was immediately DQed and got my DQ nickel.
