Is the end of the month a bad time for surveys?

They always seem to come in spurts for me. I haven't really ever bothered to track it, but it's quite common to have a bit of a dry spell.

Same here. I've not really noticed if the end of the month is slower but will probably make a note of it from now on just to see. Here lately like this past month has been really great for me. I am qualifying for almost all of the surveys on SH, well, except for OpinionSphere but like was said earlier I don't even try those anymore. The last time I can remember getting this many surveys was around Thanksgiving and right before Christmas 2011. I was going like a well oiled machine there for a while. I figured it was because most people are with family or traveling to see family and not doing as many surveys so I was getting all the good stuff. I did a whole lot of the ones where you watch new TV show pilots and answering questions and giving an opinion on them. Those paid $4 and $5 a piece. I wish I could get more of those.

Luckily, it must have been the month's end. Things have picked way up for me yesterday and today.
